Two weeks earlier ...
"Pass over the salt please bil" my mom says beside me, looking at billie opposite us. It's the weekly dinner night with mine and billies family. It all started back when I was 11, my dad and her dad became really good friends through work and since then we have just all been close.
Billie and I however have a bit of a strange relationship. We both have very strong feelings for each other and we have for a couple years now, but we aren't together and I don't think we ever will be. And yeah both of our families are very aware of this and are desperate for us both to meet someone else.
"so when are you going on another date with that guy you met liv?" Finneas asks me. I look up and see billie roll her eyes, even tho she's literally been seeing someone recently. "She isn't" Billie says with a smirk on her face. I kick her leg under the table lightly. "I'm not sure yet, it went well tho he's really sweet" I tell him. Billie once again rolls her eyes but her expression soon changes smirking to herself about something. I lean forwards putting my elbow on the table and resting my chin in the palm of my hand having already finished my food. With my other hand resting on the table billie instinctively takes hold of it playing with the rings on my fingers whilst she talks to her brother about their new album.
My dad and Patrick start taking all of the plates out, clearing the table as everyone is done. I stand up pulling my hand away from billies and start walking into the empty living room, but I know she's following behind me. I turn around and there she is looking at me with a smile on her face. "You okay" she asks putting her hands on my waist. I wrap my arms around her shoulders and bury my head in the crook of her neck. "Yeah I'm tired, are you okay" I ask. She rubs her hand up and down my back holding me tightly. "Yeah I'm okay, come sit down" she says, letting go of me and pulling me to the sofa by my hand.
I sit beside her leaning into the side of her body, as she puts her arm around me. "Hey" she says, nudging me for my attention. I look at her meeting her blue eyes before she places a few kisses on my lips and one on my forehead. "I love you" she tells me making me smile. "I love you too" I say kissing her one more time before getting comfy putting my head on her shoulder.
"I thought you two were stopping this cause you keep hurting each other, didn't you literally agree to this two days ago" Finneas says, walking into the living room with his girlfriend Claudia and sitting down on the other sofa. "We are" I say letting go of her and standing up.
