Chapter Three

                                                                                "The Flower"

Rose's bright green eyes dart across the darkening park her foot taping with a slowly increasing tempo She begins to wonder Have I just swapped out for another hawk? She quickly looks at her watch the time reads like a burning iron 6:34 pm William is almost an hour late bing! she looks down and sees a text from Hawk asking her where she is she sighs deeply and places her head into one hand when a sudden "Hey!" comes from behind her she jumps and lets out a high pitched scream turns around and punches whatever shocked her. She gasps covering her mouth Willaim is holding his mouth "i didn't expect that" he calmly states "well you shouldn't be sneaking up on people it's rude" she retorts a slight smile crosses his face "that is.. true" he rubs his chin as if to ponder for a second or caress hes wounded chin "im sorry im late" rose nods "yeah... I'm not sorry i punched you" he rises his hands "it was my fault rose i should of messaged or called I just got caught up in some family work" she eyes him now Bing! "you have a job?" she irgones the notaftion he nods slowly "of sorts yeah. it normally does not interfere with school work but lately alot of business has popped up" rose nods and rubs her chin then points at him "what sort of job dose the nerd lord willaim have" "hunting supplies" he retorts a quick giggle esacpst Rose's lips she covers her mouth "sorry.. its just hard seeing you doing hunting things" willam luaghs hartly "oh i look amazing in hi-vis all the girls go wild" he shakes hes head a few times "i bet they do" roses says trying to hold a laugh in she quickly pulls out a thick book from her bag "anyways we need to study" Bing! Rose sighs as the two walk to a small patch of even grass rose lays out a blanket and the two begin to study in silence. Bing a text notification rings out from Rose's phone again she sighs "Not a good text?" Willaim inquires Rose picks her phone up "Just hawk.. I tell ya since I started studying with you he has become so needy" Willam snorts "someones jealous" he chuckles slightly Rose shakes her head and chuckles slightly "I'm not his girlfriend and if it wasn't for him being late non-stop I wouldn't have needed a new study partner in the first place" Willam looks perplexed "you two aren't dating?" rose pauses for a few seconds "what no who the hell told you that." a sparkle shines from Willams's eyes before quickly looking around "Umm everyone... you two hang out like every second and walk close together" he shrugs rose just stares at him with her mouth open she shakes her head "First off no, I don't spend every second with him and secondly i do not walk close to him" Willam rises his hands defensively "don't mean to offend just honestly thought you two were a thing" rose hangs her head after a sigh "dose everyone really think... me and hawk?" Willaim nods Rose taps her pen on her cheek over and over Bing! "Interesting.. now back to studying..annd im putting hes texts on slient. after almost an hour of study darkness now clouds the park only the light from what appears to be a old gas lamp shines though replaced with a lightbulb now still gives the park a feeling of the past holding on. honestly, why did you need my help? your biology is great only needs revisions but your math is.. all over the place anything to do with trajectory and geometry is the best I've seen.. the rest is just terrible" rose chuckles to herself "How the hell dose that even make sense" Willam places a hand on hes chest "you wound me good lady" he begins chuckling Roses phone begins to beep again this time a alarm to end the session "dam.. i gotta go will i see you tomorrow night?" rose weakly states "we don't have study tom...oh" he blushes slightly "umm theirs a loaded fries special at a bowling ally i know.. we can go after school" Rose nods with a quirky smile as they begin to head their separate ways she turns around and gives Willaim a quick hug then darts off. 

"never played this before my ass" Rose points at Willaim with as much authority as she can muster he simply shrugs "My family doesn't get a lot of free time" She nods then looks to the scoreboard "Another strike.. you ever thought about joining a team" she gets up and grabs a small bowling ball she lines it up takes a deep breath one step a pause one last line up and rushes forward and puts all her might into the swing Crack the ball slams into the gutter she deflates and lets out the breath Crack the bowling ball slams into the wall and bounces off tipping over a single pin she pauses once again her. "I DID IT!" she jumps up and down she rushes over and hugs William she quickly lets go and does a small dance afterward and begins to sing "i don't need no bumpers nah ah" William smiles and chuckles "so what do we do now?" rose halts her dance and stares incisively at him "dinner? your ever been on a date before?" willaim clams up and rubs hes hands together "well ya know" rose shakes her head "ive had some dates before" rose places a hand on her hip "oh yeah who?" Willaim shurgs "ya know people" he grabs Rose's hand and begins walking her towards the dinner that has taken on the appearance of a 1950s cafe "What people will" Rose clutches his hand slightly tighter. he lets out a sigh "ok ok your the first person I've gone on a date with" rose looks up to him as he stares dead ahead she smiles slightly "same.. I honestly never got out much" Willaim nods he orders a large loaded bacon fries and chooses a small table to sit at "I ping you for a nature type of person" Rose instantly scoffs at the remark "Cause of my powers right?" Willaim nods slowly she sits back in her chair "i will tell ya what when you can feel the earth and it talks to you the last thing you wanna do is spend a night in the woods" Willaim places and hand on his chin hes mind racing at the many questions he could ask such as dose a tree make a sound if it falls and no one is around to hear it but one places at the top "is the earth a.." he waves a hand around "a dick?" rose snorts and burst into laughter and covers her mouth "you wouldn't believe the things it says" Willaims eyebrow pops up as if to say do tell "ok.. i see you are interested so i went camping with my dad and we set everything up im the fire maker" she chuckles "dad calls it that.. anyways im trying the wood twig thingy" she mimics rubbing her hands together as if she had a stick. "and the stick.. " she pauses and her smile drops she looks down "nature is brutal and its quiet in the city. So i like the city" willaim places his hand onto hers "if you dont want to answer thats ok. i could never relax in the woods anyways" he smirks and takes a deep breagth "infact im glad you dont like it. i was sorta crossing my fingers" rose cocks a eyebrow "now Will that begs a few qustions.. why dont you like the woods?" he reels in hes seat and rubs hes leg "wheres the food its taking ages" she smiles at hes sparkling eyes "i will go ask them"
