The days that followed the party were a whirlwind of emotions and thoughts. Ava found herself constantly thinking about Dylan and their conversation on the patio that night. His easygoing nature and genuine interest in what she had to say left a lasting impression on her.

Noah, on the other hand, was still buzzing with excitement from the party. He couldn't stop talking about how much fun he had and how cute some of the girls were. Ava listened with a half-hearted enthusiasm, her mind elsewhere.

Jaime, as always, seemed unfazed by the events of the party. She went about her days with her usual nonchalant attitude, spending most of her time with her friends or holed up in her room.

One afternoon, as Ava sat in her room flipping through a book, her phone buzzed with a message. It was from Dylan.

"Hey Ava, it's Dylan from the party. I was wondering if you wanted to grab coffee sometime this week?"

Her heart skipped a beat as she read the message. Coffee with Dylan? It sounded like a dream come true. She quickly typed out a reply, trying to sound casual.

"Hey Dylan! I would love to grab coffee. How about tomorrow afternoon?"

Almost immediately, her phone buzzed with his response.

"Sounds great! How about we meet at Brew & Brew at 2 pm?"

She smiled to herself, feeling a rush of excitement. Tomorrow couldn't come soon enough.

The next day, Ava found herself standing nervously outside Brew & Brew, waiting for Dylan to arrive. She had spent hours picking out the perfect outfit and practicing what she would say in her head. She was determined to make a good impression.

When Dylan finally arrived, her nerves melted away. He greeted her with a warm smile, and they made their way inside to order their drinks.

They spent the next few hours talking and getting to know each other better. Dylan was easy to talk to, and their conversation flowed effortlessly. They talked about everything from their favorite books to their dreams for the future.

As the afternoon turned into evening, Ava found herself not wanting the day to end. Dylan suggested they take a walk in the nearby park, and she eagerly agreed.

The park was quiet and peaceful, the perfect setting for their conversation to continue. They walked side by side, their hands occasionally brushing against each other. Ava felt a sense of connection with Dylan that she hadn't felt with anyone else before.

As they sat on a bench overlooking a small pond, the sun setting in the distance, Dylan turned to her with a smile.

"Ava, I've really enjoyed spending time with you today. I feel like we have a connection, you know?"

She nodded, feeling a rush of emotions. "I feel it too, Dylan."

And then, before she knew it, he leaned in and kissed her softly on the lips. It was a gentle kiss, filled with all the emotions they had been holding back.

In that moment, everything else faded away. The rules of the gang, the expectations placed on her, none of it mattered. All that mattered was the person sitting beside her, holding her hand as they watched the sun set.

As they walked back to Brew & Brew hand in hand, Ava couldn't help but feel a sense of hope for the future. Maybe, just maybe, finding love in this complicated world wasn't so impossible after all.

And as they sat in the cozy cafe, sipping their coffee and talking about everything and nothing, she knew that this was just the beginning of their story.

As the days turned into weeks and the weeks turned into months, Dylan and Ava grew closer. They spent as much time together as they could, cherishing every moment they had.
