The next evening, I found myself standing in front of my closet, trying to decide on the perfect outfit for dinner with Dylan. I didn't bother asking dad if I could go anyways because he was out again for work. Excitement bubbled in my chest as I picked out a cute floral dress, hoping it would make a good impression.

As I got ready, I couldn't help but think back to the party. Dancing with Dylan had been so much fun, and the way he had asked me out to dinner had made my heart flutter.

After what felt like hours of primping and preening, I was finally ready. I checked myself in the mirror one last time before grabbing my phone and heading downstairs. I told the maid i was leaving for a couple hours and made my way to the front door.

"Going out again, Ava?" Noah asked, raising an eyebrow as he saw me.

"Yeah, I have plans," I replied, a grin spreading across my face.

"Oooh, with Dylan?" he teased, a mischievous glint in his eyes.

I felt a blush creeping up my cheeks at his teasing. "Yeah, with Dylan."

Noah chuckled, giving me a knowing look. "Have fun, Ava. And don't forget to text Dad."

I rolled my eyes playfully at him before heading out the door. The evening air was cool against my skin as I made my way to the Italian restaurant downtown.

When I arrived, Dylan was already there, waiting for me with a warm smile. My heart skipped a beat as I walked towards him, feeling a rush of excitement.

"Hey, Ava, you look beautiful," he said, standing up to greet me with a hug.

"Thanks, Dylan. You look great too," I replied, feeling a blush creeping up my cheeks.

We settled into our seats, and the conversation flowed easily between us. We talked about everything from school to our favorite movies, and I found myself laughing at his jokes and stories.

As the evening wore on, I couldn't help but feel a sense of ease and comfort with Dylan. It was like we had known each other for years, not just a few days.

After dinner, we decided to take a walk around the city, enjoying the sights and sounds of the bustling streets. We strolled hand in hand, pausing every now and then to admire the view.

As we reached a quiet park, Dylan stopped and turned to face me, his eyes searching mine.

"Ava, I've had an amazing time tonight," he said, his voice soft.

"I have too, Dylan," I replied, smiling up at him.

He reached for my hand, his fingers intertwining with mine. "I know this might seem fast, but I feel a connection with you that I haven't felt before. Ava, will you be my girlfriend?"

My heart soared at his words, and without hesitation, I nodded. "Yes, Dylan, I would love to be your girlfriend."

A smile lit up his face as he pulled me into a gentle kiss, and in that moment, everything felt perfect.

As we walked back to the restaurant to grab his car, I couldn't stop smiling. It felt like the beginning of something special, something I had been longing for.

As we walked home, hand in hand, I couldn't help but feel grateful for the unexpected turn of events. Maybe, just maybe, love wasn't so impossible to find after all.

And as we pulled into the driveway, I knew that this was only the beginning of our journey together.
