Part 6

Alister Pov:

??? "Good your awake"

(Could not help myself with the reference, it was too good of a moment for me to pass up)

You wake up attempting to remember where you were, soon realizing that you were in a car with someone, and then remembering where you were and who the guy was. You reply by asking where you were heading, even though you should know you forgot.

Y/n "Once again, we're heading back to where I came from before meeting you."

Slightly satisfied with that answer, you stretch in what little space you had in the police vehicle, and then asked if you were going to stop soon. He replied yes, due to the need for gas and replenishment of weapons. You ask him why the weapons when and image of the people on the stakes crosses your mind, reminding you why you are heading where you are. "Why would they do this..."

"Because to them we are unholy to their precious god"

Looking at Y/n you wonder how he could know this information, how was he able to keep calm even against what we are facing. Apon closer inspection, it looked like he had a small smile on his face, not being slightly scared of him you decided not to ask. Soon the car starts to slow down, and you pull off the road, stopping at a Chevron gas station to refill the tank. As Y/n is holding the pump, he looks around as if expecting to be attacked by something. You soon hear the groan of an infected and then its source coming out of a small shrub nearby. Y/n immediately turns in its direction, grabs it by its neck, slams it into the ground, and crushes its head underfoot, making it explode. After that little moment he goes back to holding the pump like nothing happened.

Staring at him in a mixture of aw and fear, you open the door and walk into the store, not wanting to seem useless. Almost as soon as you walk in, you are tackled to the ground by an infected and almost bitten by it. Thankfully, you reacted quick enough and pushed it off you, unsheathing your knife and stabbing it in the head multiple times to make sure it was dead. After you could not hear your heartbeat anymore, you got up and started looking around the convenience store for anything that might be useful. Once you found nothing and walked back to the car disappointed, you saw Y/n in the car with the window down. After seeing him like that he almost seemed normal in his own way, relaxed, his arm resting on the side of the car. In your mind you thought "Damn, he looks kind of handso-, No what am I saying just get in the car"

After that thought you got in and he started driving again, by the time you got out of a tunnel you saw a small town in the distance. Looking at Y/n you saw his grip tightened on the wheel and a mixed expression on his face. It was that same face you saw before you fell asleep, that face that says I am going to murder someone and enjoy every moment of it.

Y/n Pov.

Once the town was in your sights you tightened your grip on the wheel and felt that same feeling again, that urge to kill. After taking a deep breath and suppressing the feeling, you start to get into the town and head toward the shop that you're sure once said 'Big 5', but now reads 'I 5'. Once arriving there you go into the store with Alister trailing behind you, you look in amazement and scold yourself for not looking there sooner.

Guns adorn the walls behind the counter, rifles, full auto and bolt-action, shotguns, handguns, mechanical bows, arrows. You were sure that there was more stuff in the back, you walked over to the wall and grabbed a rifle off it, looking through its iron sights and checking the mag which was empty.

You hand one of the rifles that could be considered a hunting rifle to Alister and hand him boxes of bullets, you tell him to go grab a bag and start packing all this stuff in it. He does as he is told and starts helping you pack everything after you take inventory of it. Once you leave the store you see a black van approaching and you duck behind the car hoping whoever is in it did not see you.

And because life is a bitch they stop in front of your car, and you see that they look like soldiers that decided to become preachers shortly after being discharged. They looked well built, imagen randy savage was a little taller and started to work at a church full time, then you get the general Idea of what these guys looked like. Pulling out your only silenced weapon you get ready to kill them if they get close to the edge of the car. You soon hear a safety being flicked off, and then you remember the only nonlethal thing you had on you, a flashbang. Pulling the pin and rolling it under the car after the initial bang you stand up and kill the two guys blowing a decent size hole in both their heads. Because life is a bitch to you, there was another guy in the car, and he shot you dead in the shoulder, immobilizing your shooting arm. Expecting to reveal what you've learned to Alister, you get ready to kill the guy, but another shot rings out, looking over you see that Alister shot at the guy. Looking back, you see that the guy had a quarter size hole in his head.

Alister Pov.

After seeing Y/n get shot you decided to be useful, so you took aim at the guy and pulled the trigger, blowing a hole through the guy's head. Next thing you know, you hear "Nice shot, could have came earlier though." Hearing this coming from Y/n filled you with a small sense of pride, considering that he barely talks and probably never gives out compliments.

Y/n Pov. 

Seeing the Kid (You see Alister as a kid due to his personality) happy made you smile a bit, "Let's see if you can hit shots like that tonight"
