❝ you know we are always
meant to be. destiny. ❞notes before we start:
i sort of did the same thing i did
with the 'safety net' chapter where i
wrote the lyrics so you could really get
a feel of the chapter but i did skip some
lyrics as to avoid extending it too much.

THIS WAS A VERY dangerous thing to do.
Hyerin knew that.
She knew that, by doing this, she was putting a lot of things on the line.
Her career. Her reputation.
Her boyfriend's career. Her boyfriend's reputation.
His group's career. His group's reputation.
But Namjoon was someone Hyerin found herself having a hard time saying no to.
It was kind of funny, really. Hyerin was a solo artist; she wasn't in a group or wasn't a leader that had to worry about the images of any non-existent members or any things they did. But Namjoon carried all of that weight on his shoulders as his group's leader and was one who took on a great responsibility, yet he was the one to offer the dangerous situation Hyerin now found herself in.
He had somehow arranged for her to have access to private, closed-off box seats for his and the boys' first official show of their new tour, telling her that he had a surprise for her and that he wanted them to be in the same vicinity instead of Hyerin watching the show alone in her own home where he 'wouldn't be able to reach her.'
She didn't have a clue what this surprise was, but she was suspicious of it being something related to the new album the boys had released just before today, the day of said first show here in Seoul.
Hyerin had been excited to listen to the new album, only having heard snippets of the songs whenever she was over at Namjoon's studio or when he was working with the other boys. But the moment the album had been released, he had called her and carefully, yet assertively instructed her to not listen to any of the songs or watch any performances, to which Hyerin had found confusing.
But also very attractive.
The use of sweet names he called her when she got defensive and upset about not being able to listen to his work had softened her up, his slight authoritative tone warming her both north and south.
So here she found herself, standing alone in the private suite, the tinted glass preventing any other fans nearby from seeing through the boxed room. The only other person in the room was an apparent staff member of the boys that they all trusted enough to keep Namjoon and Hyerin's relationship a secret. He had guided her inside the building and into the room so that no one—including fans, reporters, paparazzi, or staff members—could see her arrive.
The suite was on one of the top three upper levels, with security guarding the entrances so no one else could come in. She had successfully passed through every obstacle of today in order to not be seen, but she couldn't help but feel sad about how much they had to sneak around in order to get to be together—even if they technically weren't together right now.
