Kyle's POV
I was heading out to meet Kenny. I close the door and the first thing I see is Gary coming out of Stan's house. Why am I so unlucky? I stand there, looking at him from one sidewalk while he looks at me from the other, like we were competing to see who would break eye contact first, and I do.
I stop looking at him and continue on my way to Kenny's house, and on the way, there's Gary's house, meaning we'd be walking in the same direction. It was so awkward and uncomfortable that I felt like stopping, but I couldn't. Well, I keep walking until I see Gary switch sidewalks, he was coming towards me, what the hell?
I can feel him behind me until I hear him speak:
Gary: "Hey Kyle, can we talk?" NO, WE CAN'T, well, I wish I could have said that, but instead, I said:
Kyle: "Sure." I was curious about what he wanted to talk to me about, because we've never talked or anything...
Gary: "I know we're not friends, we don't talk, but I need your help with something..." I already know what it is.
Kyle: "Go ahead." I don't feel an ounce of desire to help him.
Gary: "I know you're Stan's best friend," I wish he had stopped here, "and that you know him very well, so I thought you could help me choose a gift for him. What do you think he would like?" a gift?
Kyle: "Look, Gary, honestly, I think Stan would like anything from you, even a pair of socks." I'm not kidding.
Gary: "Really? I was thinking of buying something for us to wear matching, you know? Necklaces, bracelets, something like that." Okay, this annoyed me a little, why not just wear rings?
Kyle: "Hmm... I'm not sure if he would like that." I was lying, of course, just so I wouldn't have to see what I didn't want to.
Gary: "Oh, really? I thought he would like it, but how do you know?" I actually don't know.
Kyle: "It's not really his style..."
Gary: "You think so?"
Kyle: "I think so." I would wear it with him, but you can't.
Gary: "Hmm... but I'd like to be sure." So I wasted all my time trying to make him change his mind. "Between a necklace and a bracelet, which do you think he would like?" I don't know about him, but I wish you would go fuck yourself.
Kyle: "I don't know... maybe a necklace." I want to leave.
Gary: "Okay, thanks a lot, Kyle, it's going to help me a lot. You know, I really like him, I would do anything to see him happy." Me too, man, me too.
Kyle: "Got it... Gary, I really have to go now." I'm trying to get away.
Gary: "Oh, okay, sorry. Bye!" I don't respond, just wave and continue on my way.

I arrive at Kenny's house and knock on the door (he doesn't have a doorbell), he opens the door.
Kenny: "Hey Kyle!" My face is grumpy after my conversation with Gary.
Kyle: "Hey Ken, ready to go?" he closes the door and we head out onto the street.
Kenny: "What's gotten into you?" He asks me.
Kyle: "Nothing much, I just had a chat with Gary on my way here." He laughs, I don't get the joke.
Kenny: "You really hate him, huh? What did you guys talk about?"
