Chapter 2 - move in night -

As Rei wandered the unfamiliar halls of U.A, the upbeat rhythm of her music clashed with the subdued atmosphere around her. The completely empty halls not what she'd thought a bustling hero school like U.A would look like. She couldn't help but think, 'Hey man, I know I've never been to a 'proper' high school before... But I think there's supposed to be people out in these halls?' she mused, a playful smirk on her face as she played with the cord of her headphones.
Her keen eyes scanned the corridor for any signs of life, and soon, the distant murmur of voices led her to the room labelled "2A."
Rei adjusted her headphones, turning down the volume just enough to catch snippets of the conversations. The excitement of being in a renowned hero academy mixed with her usual irreverence.
With a light chuckle, she pushed open the door, announcing her arrival with a laid-back greeting, "Hope I'm not too fashionably late, the train systems here are no joke."
The students turned, glancing at the new arrival with a mix of curiosity and surprise. Rei's presence, like a whirlwind, had just blown into their lives.
As Rei stood before her new class, the hushed whispers settled into an intrigued silence under Mr. Awaiza's watchful eye. Rei couldn't resist a mischievous grin as she surveyed the room, her lively energy filling the space.
"Welcome, Rei Valentine," Mr. Awaiza announced, his stern expression softened by a hint of curiosity. "Since you've decided to grace us with your presence, although late, why don't you share a little about yourself with the class?"
Rei nonchalantly leaned against a desk, her gaze sweeping over her classmates. "Hey, how's it going, like Mr. Teach over here said. The name's Rei Valentine, but I'd rather if we just kept it simple with Rei. I'm pretty good with mixing things up, literally. Elemental Fusion's my quirk, don't think I really gotta explain that one."
Rei's laid-back charm and straightforward introduction added a touch of casual confidence to the room, leaving her classmates both intrigued and eager to discover more about the new addition to Class 2A.
As Mr. Awaiza interrupted Rei's introduction with a cough, he gestured towards an empty seat, directing her to take a seat next to Mina Ashido. Rei scanned the room, her eyes locking onto an excited pink-haired girl who eagerly raised her hand and waved it around.
Rei chuckled and made her way over, her casual stroll contrasting with the energetic anticipation in the room. With a friendly grin, she took the seat beside the jittery pink girl.
"Hey there! I'm Mina, and guess what? We're gonna be desk mates for the next year!" Mina's enthusiasm practically radiated as she extended her hand for a friendly handshake.
