chapter 3 - room decor -

"Well, what are we waiting for? Let's get her stuff upstairs!" Kirishima declared with enthusiasm. The group wasted no time, helping Rei carry her belongings upstairs. As they made their way through the dorms, Rei took in the lively atmosphere.
A couple of her classmates were on the couch, engrossed in a game of Mario Kart, while others were in the kitchen, preparing dinner. Rei joined her friends in the elevator, heading up to the third floor where her friends had chosen to make their home.
The elevator doors opened, revealing a sign that was undoubtedly crafted by Mina. Pictures of each person on the floor adorned the display, along with their room numbers, a fun fact about them, and their hero names. Rei couldn't help but admire the creative touch, which added a personalised and welcoming atmosphere to her new home.
They made their way to the room that was now Rei's, sandwiched between Mina and Jirou. Rei eagerly opened the door and was met with a blank canvas. The emptiness of the room, ready to be filled with her personality and belongings, excited her.
Everyone pitched in, unloading the boxes and bags into Rei's room. Mina, along with the others, offered to stay and help unpack, but Rei, with a mischievous glint in her eye, thought about it for a moment before deciding, "Leave it as a surprise!" She ushered them out, eager to have her friends discover the room's transformation tomorrow morning.
With the weekend ahead, Rei had the entire night to stay up and unpack her room. Being a night owl, this suited her perfectly. All she needed was some music.
Rei's laid-back persona is a defining element of her style and room aesthetic. Casually draped in comfortable yet stylish attire, she effortlessly carries herself with an air of ease. In her room, this vibe translates into a harmonious blend of simplicity and warmth.
Natural lighting floods the space, accentuating the calming hues of greens, browns, and yellows. Plants occupy every available nook, transforming her room into a lush oasis. Tiny whirlwinds of air dance playfully around her room, gently rustling the leaves of her numerous plants. The ambient temperature seems to respond to her mood, creating a comfortable and soothing environment. Occasionally, a flicker of flame from a small controlled fire serves as both decoration and a practical source of warmth.
Crystals, imbued with a touch of her elemental prowess, catch and refract natural light, casting mesmerizing patterns across the room. Water droplets, suspended mid-air as if frozen in time, add an ethereal touch, reflecting Rei's mastery over the aquatic elements.
The room itself becomes a living testament to Rei's connection with nature and her unique quirk, each element harmoniously coexisting with the others. It's not just a room; it's a manifestation of her abilities, a sanctuary where the natural and supernatural seamlessly blend in a dance of balance and beauty.
As Rei finishes putting the final touches on her room, she glances at the clock. "3 am? Not so bad," she remarks with a nonchalant grin.
Finally deciding to call it a night, Rei changes into her comfortable silk pjs. With a leap, she lands on her bed, passing out seconds later.
Waking up, Rei checks the time and grumbles, "Why is it only 6 am?" She furrows her brow before reluctantly rolling out of bed and landing on the ground with a thump.
Dragging herself up from the floor, she uses her quirk to water all her plants. After, she makes her way downstairs, not bothering to change out of her comfy PJs. It's Saturday, who's going to care.
As the elevator doors swing open to the bottom floor, Rei sees a scene that screams "morning people." The early risers are already bustling around, cooking up breakfast and engaging in lively conversation as Rei steps yawning.
As Rei makes her way to the kitchen, she is greeted with a "Good morning, Rei" from a girl with black hair. Rei sheepishly replied with a "morning" before the girl introduces herself. "Yaoyorozu Momo" She states before suggesting that Rei may call her "Momo."
Momo then introduces Rei to the rest of the 'morning group" - Shoto Todoroki, Fumikage Tokoyami, Tenya Iida, and Mezo Shoji.
Rei waves to everyone in return before grabbing a bowl of cereal and settling on the couch by herself. She puts her headphones in, immersing herself in music.
Finishing her cereal, Rei heads over to the sink and cleans her dishes. She immerses herself in conversations with her new found friends for an hour before Kirishima makes his way downstairs.
"Morning, Rei! How did unpacking go?" Kirishima's boisterous greeting shattered the quiet morning air.
"Morning, Kirishima!" She responded, breaking away from the ongoing conversations. Rei approached him with a grin, exchanging a high five. "Unpacking went amazingly? Duh," She chuckled at his questioning expression. "Yeah, yeah," Kirishima rolled his eyes playfully before changing the topic. "Want to wake the others and show off your room?" he suggested
The casual banter between Rei and Kirishima continued, creating a lively atmosphere in the morning kitchen. As you joined him in conversation, the rest of the group acknowledged her presence, and the room buzzed with friendly exchanges.
After a bit of chatting, Rei decided to join Kirishima in waking up the others. The prospect of showcasing your newly arranged dorm room filled her with excitement, and she eagerly followed him upstairs.
Reaching the third floor, Rei and Kirishima make their way to Mina's room. With a playful smirk, Rei bangs on poor Mina's door, calling out, "Mina darling, time to wakey wakey!"
Rei hears a groan from inside before the door swings open, revealing a just-awoken Mina. She sports matching pink silk PJs, mirroring Rei's green ones, creating an unintentional synchronised morning fashion statement. The grogginess in Mina's expression quickly shifts to a playful grin as she greets them both.
Rei quickly fills Mina in on her plan to have everyone see her room together. As Kirishima heads off to wake up Kaminari and Sero, Mina's grogginess transforms into sudden excitement upon hearing about the room reveal. She's eager to see her bestie's new space.
Kirishima returns a couple of minutes later with the two troublesome boys, and unexpectedly, an extra two – Bakugou and Jirou. Jirou offers a casual "Hey, nice to meet you," while Bakugou, ever blunt, states, "Why the hell was I brought into this crap, shitty hair?"
Rei rolls her eyes, saying, "Well duh, my room's amazing, and I want EVERYONE on this floor to see it." She gives Bakugou a stupid look before quickly turning to Jirou and ignoring him, "Nice to meet you too."
"Now EVERYONE!" Rei shouts, rallying the group. "To my awesome room!" She walks over and opens the door. The sweet scent of vanilla and the refreshing aroma of plants fill everyone's noses as they enter the beautifully arranged room.
