Mr. West left yesterday, now we have Ms. Sanders. She seem like a good teacher, so I'm kind of excited to have her.
I walk up the stairs with Elena. We're on our way to english, and if I'm being completely honest, I'm scared. All the little whispers in my ear when I needed help with something, or when she massaged my shoulders when I was tense.
"Hey, are you okay? You look deep in your thoughts." Elena speaks up.
I stay silent.
"Lia."
"Hm?"
"Are you alright?" She asks me again.
"Yeah, I'm good. I'm just thinking about Ms. Sanders. What if she'll change completely now that Mr. West isn't here?" I keep looking at the floor as I speak.
I bump into someone.
"I'm sorry-" I look up to see a boy... I swear I've seen him before... maths! He's in my maths class, that's it!
"It's alright, really." He assures me.
I smile at him before I walks past.
"Oh my god, you would fit so good with him. Did you see the way he looked at you?!" She squeals hugging my arm.
We walk into english class. Nobody is talking, probably because it's 8 in the morning. My and Elena sit at a table in the back. I pull out my textbook for english and my pencilcase.
The door opens and I hear the click of heals hitting the floor at the front of the classroom. I look up to see Ms. Sanders holding alot of books. Damn, she must be really strong.
"Alright, phones away." Almost everyone puts their phone down, except one girl.
"Eleanor, phone away." She repeats, crossing her arms.
"Just a minute, this is really important." She says, typing faster on her phone.
Ms. Sanders walks over to the table Eleanor is sitting at and snatch her phone.
"Hey!" She yells at Ms. Sanders.
"No phone in my class, unless I allow it."
She walks up to her desk again and lay Eleanors phone on her desk.
"Alright, listen up everyone. You will be reading to chapter 5, and then you'll get questions to each chapter." She goes around handing out the book. When she gets to me and Elenas table, she smiles at me. I of course smile back.
When she handed out the books she came back around with the papers. When she give me my paper our hands touch. I look to her but she's already looking at me. I take the paper. Something is writen on it...
Meet me after class, I would like to have a chat with you. ☺
It's written with thick black letters, probably so I'd see it. I love her handwriting, it's nice.
"Is someone getting detention?" She whispers to me. I elbow her side and her hands pushes me slightly back.
"No, no no. Just a chat, not detention." I state with my finger pointing upwards.
Everyone begin reading and I take a pencil out my pencilcase.
"Dahlia, could you come with me?" Ms. Sanders speaks up.
I look at her and she's clearly waiting for me to answer.
I nod and stand up. I walk out of the classroom with her.
She closes the door behind us quietly.
"Did I do something wrong?" I ask confusingly.
"No, nothing." She moves closer to me, not too close, but closer.
"Then, why didn't you wait until the end of class?"
"I would've forgotten it by then." She tuts.
"I was thinking about.. the pool thing. Can you not tell anyone?"
Oh, fuck. I already told Elena. What if she'll hate me and give me all F's or something? I need to make up a lie really, really fast.
"Dahlia?" She snaps me out my thoughts.
"Yeah. I already told Elena, I'm so sorry, but I didn't tell anyone else I promi-"
"Calm down, it's alright." She chuckled to herself.
I smile at her. I look at her, taking in every single detail I possibly can. Her grayish blue eyes, her red soft-looking lips, and her pale but pink cheeks.
"So, I didn't take you out here to talk about that." She clears her throat looking at the floor. She stays like that for some time before I nod for her to continue, which she does as she looks up again.
"You seem to not understand... how do I put this, um..." She rubs her temple.
"You seem to not really understand like the others do. I'm not trying to make you feel stupid, because you aren't, but I'd like to offer you some extra classes of mine. I could teach you a bit after school if you'd like that?" I chuckle at her offer, making her look confusingly to me.
"I'm sorry, but who'd volentarily stay longer after school to do extra work?" I ask. Her face turn serious and I stop chuckling.
"Sorry. Yeah, I'd like that. Thank you for the offer." She nods and slightly smile at me.
Her hand crawls to my lower back and slowly pushes me towards the classroom again.
We walk in and all eyes go to us- okay, me. Mostly me.
I sit down beside Elena again.
