Mainly just a fluffy chapter of Y/n and Amy
———————

The next day, you awoke bright and early. You quietly got dressed and exited your tent, walking to the main area of the camp. You stretched and decided to walk around the quarry. You slipped your hands into your pockets and slowly slinked down the rocky trail to the body of water.

The early morning hours were always the best, in your opinion. It was quiet and tranquil. The trees gently swayed as the breeze swept through their leaves, crickets chirped their rhythm based song, and the sun was just starting to rise. It created a beautiful sunrise comprised of soft pinks, oranges, and baby blues. Small rocks under your shoes gritted together, making a rather unpleasant noise. You just sighed and tried to ignore it. You turned your attention to the sounds of birds waking up, calling out to others. What a beautiful song they sang, creating a smile upon your face. You wished you'd camped more before your life got flipped upside down. Then again, your life was always flipping every which way.

Your ears picked up a second set of footsteps close behind yours. You turned your head and saw Amy. When she noticed that you'd seen her, she smiled and waved her hand.

"Morning, Y/n!" She spoke with a friendly tone. You slowed your stride to allow her to catch up to you. When she reached your side, you spoke up.

"G'morning, Amy. What are you doing up so early?" You questioned her. She shrugged, the smile never leaving her face.

"I just woke up early, I guess. I didn't think anyone else was awake, but it's a nice surprise to see you!" She bumped her shoulder with yours. You grinned at her nice words. Amy was such a kind and innocent soul, she definitely wasn't build for this life.

"It's nice to see you, too." You bumped her shoulder with a smile. "Got any plans today?" You watched as her attention turned towards her thoughts.

"I don't think so...I might hang out with Andrea, but that's it." She smiled at you. You nodded.

"Sounds fun." You spoke.

"Yeah, it's the only fun I can find out here." She grumbled.

"You do know we have cards 'n boardgames, right?" You asked with a questioning smile on your face.

"Well, yeah, but nobody ever wants to play with me." Her cheery attitude faltered for a moment.

"You should've told me! I'm sure S/n would be happy to play with you! If you're lucky, my momma might even play against ya." You winked at her, causing her to release a soft giggle.

"Your mom is such a nice lady, I'd love to play a game with her sometime." Amy seemed to move closer to you. "What about you, Y/n?"

"Hm?" You raised an eyebrow, unsure of what she was asking.

"Y'know, would you want to play a game with me?" She looked at you with hope and a hint of desperation in her eye.

"Well, sure, I'd love to. I don't have many tasks to do around here, so I'll gladly play something with you." You smiled at the woman. She squealed with giddy, her eyes slightly closing in excitement.

"Alright! Yeah! That sounds great! When do you want—what's the best time for you?" She tripped over her words as she quickly spoke.

"Well, if Dale's already awake, I can get my daily watering done and then I can grab a few games. We can play a few rounds and then grab S/n, if you want."

"I'm fine if they join, the more the merrier! Right?" She seemed to beam as you both walked into the sun's rays.

"Right." You returned a warm smile before bidding the younger woman farewell. You walked up the stoney path up to Dale's trailer and knocked on the door.

"Dale? Are you awake?" You spoke loudly. "C'mon old man, open the door." You grumbled, wanting to get your chores done quickly so you could enjoy the rest of the day.

"Damn, Y/n, what do you want?" Dale groaned as he opened the trailer door, rubbing the exhaustion out of his eyes.

"Dale, hey, can I get my watering can and a few board games?" You asked politely. He blinked a few times, processing your words.

"Hm. Sure, but hurry it up." He muttered. You quickly walked inside and grabbed your needed supplies. You bid Dale goodbye and walked to the picnic table, whistling a simple tune you remember from your childhood. You were excited to do something other than chores. You were especially excited to hang out with Amy, being able to strengthen your friendship with her!
