We made our way back to the rooms and basically ate and slept. We were exhausted. Edward managed to drag his bed into my room because I didn't want to be alone that night. He sat on his bed watching me comb through my hair with my fingers. They hadn't provided me with a brush so I couldn't do much with it.

"What do you think of mum and dad?" Edward suddenly said. I looked down at the white covers of my bed.

"I don't know what to think anymore," I said. "But there's no point in denying it. Mum and dad worked here and for whatever reason, they helped these people."

"But I don't understand. They were good people, they would never harm anyone," Edward mumbled. I laid down on the bed and shut my eyes. As I fell asleep I heard Ed whisper, "Maybe we didn't know them at all..."

I dreamt that I was standing on top of a monstrous cliff with a grey ocean churning below. The bitter wind was howling in my ears and trying to push towards the edge of the cliff. I looked up and saw the same man that was in Edward's desert dream with his back to me. I moved around to the left and saw that he was holding Edward by the neck over the cliff.

Ed was kicking and trying to twist out of the man's grasp but he held fast. Ed's face was turning red but even if the man let go, Ed would fall to his death into the grey ocean below. There was no way he could get out of this.

Desperately I ran forward and tried to hit the man. My fist went straight through him and neither him nor Edward noticed me. I tried again but he same thing happened. The third time I screamed angrily and threw my fist at his face. Somehow I managed to connect with his jaw. He snapped his head round to face me. Edwards eyes widened in surprise as he saw me.

"Tess?" Ed choked. "Tess, get out of here!" I didn't even have time to acknowledge he was talking to me before the dream faded into black and I woke up in my bed. Beside me, Edward was clutching his neck, still trapped in the dream.

"Ed," I said gently, shaking his shoulder.

"No...no please, stop!" Ed screamed, still asleep.

"Come on Ed, wake up," I said a little louder. He thrashed in the bed and kicked out. "Ed!" I shouted.

"Tess!" He yelled and he sat bolt right up, gasping.

"It's okay, Ed. It's over, its over," I said soothingly. He sighed and knelt on the floor, hugging himself, sweat pouring down his face. "How did...how did you... I swear...I saw...you in my dream..." He said in a shaky voice.

"I don't know. I saw you being strangled and I couldn't help it. I got mad and I tried to stop him," I said. He nodded, breathing hard.

"Go back to sleep, Tess."

"You sure your okay? Do you want me to stay up with you?" I asked.

"No. I think I need some time alone. You get some sleep, okay?" he said. He staggered into the bathroom and I heard him turn on the tap to wash his face. I settled back down and closed my eyes again. As I fell to sleep I heard Edward muttering to himself.

"I've got to get her out of here." I fell into a dreamless sleep quickly.

After the panic of last night, I just wanted to sleep the entire day without anything to worry about but unfortunately Chancellor Frost had other ideas. "Up!" A man shouted. My arm was yanked up and I tumbled out of the bed.
