"Olive!" I yelled as soon as she jumped out of the car.
It didn't take a genius to realize she's ignoring me, so I had to just watch her walking away while pushing violently people out of her way.I found it surprisingly hard to resist the urge to knock the hell out of everyone who's glaring at her, but I had to.
Especially when she's going to give the son of a bitch a heads up.I was just about to reopen the door she slammed in my face, but then the sound of Alessandro's voice made me turn my head to the side.
"I'm going to the office today. Amadeo and Riccardo are coming too."
He said, glancing shortly at Santo before pulling a pack of cigarettes out of his pocket, all while not taking his eyes off of me through the rear mirror. The questions were begging to slip out of my mouth, but his 'business' tone made it clear it's better to just shut up this once.
"Watch over your sister."
"I fucking will." I muttered and got out of the car, already forgetting about everything I wanted to know about their day at the office.
Kingsley won't even dare to look at her once I'm done with him.
"Hold on, Rivo. Just-" Santo jogged to my side, rubbing his forehead with one of his hand.
I glanced at him, but didn't say anything."Remember what you said before?" he asked, trying to keep up with my fast pace. "About sending Carter to the hospital and all that?"
"What about it?" I muttered impatiently, turning my head around to maybe get a look at the one punchable face I'm looking for in the crowd.
"Well," he started, but got cut off when someone bumped their shoulder into him.
I kept walking, not taking my eyes of the people in front of me.Where the fuck is he?
I didn't even notice Santo was back until he opened his mouth.
"Maybe you shouldn't do that.""What?" I hissed, stopping dead in my tracks.
How the hell can he say that?
We find out Kingsley has the nerves to chase Olive, and he wants me to back off? Is he fucking crazy?Santo ran his fingers through his hair, and his eyes kept jumping from one person to the other before settling back on me. "Look, I know I was the one who brought this all thing up," he sighed, pinching the bridge of his nose. "But you can't beat him up."
I narrowed my eyes and took one step towards him, feeling the hot wind ruffling my hair. "Like hell I can't."
"Rivo!" he yelled after I started walking again towards the entrance of our school, and I know him well enough to spot the frustration in his voice.
"What?" I shot, turning around. "Everything about it is so fucked up, and you wouldn't have told us if you didn't think so too."
"Yes, but-"
