Sam and Dean were silent as they drove along, Sasha asleep in the back. That is, until there were red and blue lights flashing in the rearview.

There were no other cars on the road and so Dean pulled the impala to the side of the road, the patrol car right behind them.

"We did replace the tags right?" Dean asked Sam, but he didn't have to. He already knew the plate and brake lights, everything, were in perfect working condition on his baby. Sam and Dean's sudden unease pulled Sasha from her sleep and she sat up. She moved a bit quicker when she saw the lights. Dean kept his hands on the steering wheel and Sasha and Sam remained silent as the officer stepped up alongside Dean's door.

"How can I help you officer?" Dean asked with mock pleasantness in his voice.

"License and registration?"

Dean's mouth dropped to a frown at the man in uniform but he reached in front of Sam to the glove compartment anyway. He took his time shuffling through the papers before he pulled from the compartment and Sasha continued growing more uneasy in the backseat. It wasn't the police, she couldn't help but thinking that something was up and her eyes scanned around to spot a second officer coming to Sam's window. Both officers shared a glance when the second one began to speak.

"I'm going to need you to step out of the car. Ran your plates and we've got a warrant to search."

Now it was Sam's turn to share a glance with Dean before they both cautiously opened their doors. "A warrant? For what?" Sam asked.

"To search," the man grunted.

Sasha opened her own door but the officer on her side held a hand out, "stay in the car ma'am."

Sasha glared but closed her door at the look Dean shot her. The boys were both half in half out of their respective sides. "You have a warrant to search for what?" Sam continued.

The officers ignored Sam and the one with Dean asked him to turn around and face the car as he stood. Dean obviously refused and demanded to know why. "We can take you in town too if you want," the first officer suggested while already pulling Dean's hands behind his back and throwing on cuffs.

"Wait, wait, wait," Sam held his arms out, "we have rights, you can't just lock us up."

"The hell we can't," the second one fired back, not hesitating before grabbing Sam's arms. When he put up a fight, the officer produced a baton and wrenched Sam's right arm back before locking the cuffs. Sasha, outraged, moved to swing her door open but Sam was suddenly thrown against it and he grunted against the glass.

"Hey hey hey, what do you think you're doing?" Dean's voice was gruff as he tried to pull away from the officer behind him, not taking his eyes off Sam. Sasha's eyes flashed and she dove for the other door while the officers yelled into their radios for backup. That's when all hell broke loose.

A black van screeched to a halt beside Sasha, who just exited the impala and was running at the officer who held Sam now against the ground. She almost reached Sam when a large weight plowed into her and knocked her to the ground. Sasha kicked and punched, trying to fling the man off of her but her punches did no good, the man wore a kevlar vest. She braced her hands on his shoulders and pushed, slowing herself to get a good look at whoever the newcomer was.

He was older with a gray buzzcut and his lips were pulled over his gums in a snarl. He reached towards his hip and Sasha instinctively scrambled back, her brain suddenly processing that this was a bounty hunter.

"Sasha what the hell is going on?!"

"Who is that?!"

Sam and Dean's yells were drowned out in her ears and Sasha focused on nothing but getting away. A second hunter was over with Sam, Dean, and the other officers; when he helped the two officers get the Winchesters under control, he came over to his partner and Sasha.
