14th September 1996

The rest of the week went past quicker than Thea had expected, and was over in a blink of an eye. She'd found that her relationship with almost everyone had improved overall. Daphne, Enzo and Theo had openly expressed their positive attitudes from early on, so there was no issue there. Pansy brought herself to talk about their similar taste in Doc Marten boots, and since then, the tension between the two had almost completely fizzled out, and Pansy tended to express acknowledgment that Thea was in the room way more often. Blaise kept talking more and more, often smiling at her perhaps too often. At least her and Draco had found common ground in taking the piss out of Hermione. Then that leaves Mattheo, who isn't even part of the equation has far as Thea is concerned.

Thea wakes early, just as she has done every day this week. Her and Daphne seems to unconsciously battle over this, often waking at around the same time, both very early in the morning. At least today, Daphne is still asleep, perhaps the weekend has caught up with her.

Thea sits up in her bed slowly, giving time for eyes to adjust to the light pouring through the curtain. The watch on her bedside table reads 7:34, which immediately rings some type of alarm bells in her head. Thea recognises the time, aware that something was supposed to be happening today, yet she can't seem to put her finger on it.

Instead of worrying, she grabs some jeans and a jumper from her trunk and heads to the bathroom, getting changed quickly re-emerging, with intentions to go for a walk around the castle again.

Suddenly, loud banging erupts from the doorway, someone knocking furiously, Thea wouldn't even be surprised if the door falls down.

Daphne wakes up violently, Thea can't see through her curtains buts she hears the sharp intake of breath and the rustling of the bed sheets.

"GOOD MORNING LADIES!" Theo shouts through the door, before erupting into another fit of knocking.

"What the fuck does he want as this time in the morning?" Pansy groans, rolling over in her bed.

"THEODORE NOTT YOU STOP THAT RIGHT NOW!" Daphne emerges from her curtains, furiously wrapping her baby pink satin robe around herself, rushing to the door. She mutters an incantation, before throwing the door open, revealing Theo leaning against the doorframe.

"So you are awake!" He stands up straight, before looking her up and down. "Nice robe Grassy."

Daphne stares down at herself, before wrapping her arms around herself protectively. "What in Merlin's name do you want?"

"What i want, Daph, is to see if you all will accompany us to the Quidditch Pitch. It's tryout day after all and we want to get in practice before we start."

"Fuck off Theo." Pansy shouts through the curtains.

Thea steps into the middle of the room, so Theo can see she's there. "You have quidditch here?"

"You play?"

"Yeah i play." The shifts her weight from her left to her right foot.

"You got a broom?"

"Yeah."

"Well let's get the fuck going then!" Theo claps, turning back to Daphne. "Common Room, 10 minutes. See you there Daph." He disappears round the corner, his dull footsteps getting fainter and fainter until Daphne slams the door.

"If you play Quidditch with them, they'll love you." Daphne rubs her temples, making her way back to her own bed slowly, still in a daze.

"You two don't play?" Thea goes back to her bed to find the broom, which she shoved under it the other day.
