Friday 27th September 1996

"These sandwiches are so fucking good." Theo leans back, tilting his head towards the ceiling to potentially prevent the spray of crumbs from shooting across the table and landing on an unamused-Daphne.

"I was thinking about having one but was too afraid you'd break my fingers if i reached for it." Pansy mutters in reply, pushing her half eaten food around her plate, staring down at it in boredom.

"I'm not that much of a pig." Theo exclaims, before catching Daphnes eye once more and throwing his hand up over his mouth.

"I'm not going to be the one to test that theory." Pansy sighs. Eventually she drops her fork, sitting back and slumping slightly. "Can we leave?"

"I'm not done eating." Theo gestures to the last sandwich on his plate.

"You've had about 6 of them." Daphne raises her eyebrow, her face a mixture of boredom and disgust.

"Must you take the piss every day, just let me eat Grassy."

Thea sits beside Theo, leaning slightly to her right in vague fear his rapid eating may cause an accidental elbow to her side.

"You can eat and walk correct?" Daphne replies, narrowing her eyes at Theo until he finally grabs the last sandwich and stands up violently.

"Where's Enzo when you need him?" Theo scoffs, rolling eyes and dramatically stomping over the bench, to the point he loses his balance and drops the remains of the sandwich on the floor anyway.

Thea walks behind Theo towards the door, barely listening to endless stream of profanities leaving his mouth as he mourns the remains of his lunch. Keeping her gaze on the cold stone tiles, she glides her tounge around her teeth, finding her thoughts empty. She barely even changes her demeanour as they pass Hermione and the Gryffindors, becoming increasingly uninterested in proving her sister wrong, now more carelessly not giving a fuck. She watches Hermione's head rise out of the corner of her eye, as it always does, yet she never says a word.

"I've got 2 free periods, i'm going back to bed." Pansy mutters as she reaches the door, dropping her shoulders in some over-exaggerated exhaustion.

"What happened to 'academic weapon'?" Daphne questions, already knowing the answer anyway.

"Oh i said that like 2 weeks ago." Pansy waves her hand dismissively. "Plus how would i ever be able to focus if i never slept."

"You always sleep. It's basically all you do."

"What just cause i stay in bed a few minutes longer than you two in the morning?" Pansy scoffs, walking backwards down the hall and continuing the argument.

"I wouldn't call it a few minutes." Thea joins in, after making eye contact with Pansy and taking a chance.

"I still haven't got over the water thing." Pansy raises a finger playfully, to Thea's relief. "I'd tread lightly Dorothea."

"Absolutely not, Parkinson." Thea grimaces, met with an over-enthusiastic pat on the back from Theo.

"Dorothea is fucking awful." He begins, slipping his arm around Thea's shoulders. "Do your parents hate you?"

"Pretty fucking much." Thea scoffs in reply, hoping it sounds playful enough to not attract any attention. Luckily Theo isn't a deep thinker, so as long as she avoids eye contact with Daphne she'll survive.

Theo raises his other hand, throwing it around Daphnes shoulders too, walking in the centre of the two down the corridor. Although Thea can't see Daphne from here, she knows it'll be a topic of conversation later.
