William pov

William: heh!- Damn!

I grunted out of annoyance as I was forced to jump back moments before the unidentified merc could use their energy blade.

William: for a merc your pretty good...it's a shame your just puppet to those corporations...

I spoke...half and half...I was speaking mockingly towards the pilot...but in all honesty...I didn't know how they were lasting this long against me.

And even with that damn name..."Raven"...I some how knew that it wasn't the same person...

William: I promise to make it quick then...

I quickly re-engaged into the fight as I sent my HC barreling towards her with a high powered laser Lance.

But once again, they had avoided my strike.

In a quick and almost instinctive movement. The merc aimed all thrusters to push it forward on a collision corse towards me...but instead of running into the heated energy tip of the Lance, the pilot made their AC duck and roll to a standing halt before watching me fly right by.

William: Don't think that's it!

I quickly spun my HC into a flying roll before aiming my beam type weaponry towards them.

A quick and short burst of rapid high powered energy beams singed the air between us before finally finding their mark.

I watched with a bit of pride and confidence as the pilot guided their AC to cover itself the best it could whole taking on the damage.

And although it was minimal...i could tell I had only pissed them off...as they had quickly began charging at me with their main ballistic rifle firing off several shots in tandem with their multi-pod missle launcher.

William: heh...I think if you were talking, you would've said somthing like "don't get cocky", right?

I jolted my controls as my HC raised it's heavy duty energy shield, slightly slowing me down, but completely dampening the shots of the mercenary.

A puff of blindingly black smoke covered my vision as I spike up

William: HA!- gonna take a bit more than that t- HOLY-!

After some of the dust had parted ways, I had barely enough time to even react to the mercenary that had closed the distance between us so fast.

William: OH SHI-

I quickly brought the shield up again...but this time...I wasn't faced with gun fire...instead-

(Corky:...uh)

In mere moments, I watched as a metal rod tore through not only my energy shield, but even half of the armor of my HC.

William: Dammit!

I shouted in anger and surprise as I used my missiles at point blank...sure...I was hit buy the blast to...but I know they found their as we launched away from eachother.
