Academy

Narrator's POV:

A year and half have passed ever since Shusuke worked under the 7th Hokage as the team captain of the ANBU team. 

After finishing a S-rank mission for 2 weeks, he's now heading to the Hokage office to report his mission.

When he got inside, he immediately got down on one knee and lowered his head. "Stand." The Hokage ordered which he followed and stood up with a stern look on his face.

"How was the mission?" The Hokage asked as he signed a paper. 

"We've finished the mission smoothly, but I've lost two members during the mission." The Uchiha said with no emotion showing on his face at all.

Losing a member on his team is now normalized to him.

Naruto nodded as he stared at the Uchiha. "Those eyes... it's pity." The Uchiha thought as he could feel the pity on his look. 

Still, he doesn't understand why since it not really a big deal. "I have an important mission that I'm gonna give to you." He spoke again after a good 1-minute staring at the boy.

"Your mission is to join the academy as an ordinary student. Shusuke, no one should know about the mission." He continued with a serious expression plastered on his face, though he did not understand as to why he's going to the academy when he literally has a high position on the ANBU.

"But will I still be able to do missions? My team needs me." Shusuke asked. Not wanting to lose his position. 

"Don't worry, after you become a genin, you can continue doing missions as a captain of the ANBU team. But for now, you need to attend the academy like a normal kid."

He nodded and thought, "Seriously? With those kids? This is gonna be pain." He thought with a poker face.

"You may now dismiss." The Hokage finally dismissed the boy after explaining the details as to why.

"Should I tell mom?" He thought as he jumped to the roof of the houses, so he could head home faster. 

As he opened the door of their house, he immediately got tackled into a hug, by no other than his own mother. "Shusuke, thank god you're safe." 

She whispered as she tightened the hug, soon his twin joined. "I didn't even die!"

"Mom, Sarada... I can't breathe." Shusuke spoke with white cartoon eyes which Sakura, his mother let go of him, but his twin is still hugging him from behind. 

"We've informed that two people died on your team, and we thought it's you, Shu."

"Don't worry, mom. Like I said, I'll be careful." He said and flashed a smile. For a second he looked like someone when he was young. 

"And Sarada." He called his sister as he faced her. "Sorry for worrying you and mom." He said as he ruffles his sister's head.

"You should be." She said with a huff. "You worried us." She sighed, as her brother comforted her. 

He learned that he shouldn't upset the two, since he's the only man in the house, he should be a man and not a wimp. 

Protect them at all costs, even it caused his life, he would gladly do it for his mother and sister.
