Jake was in love with Tord, Tord was in love with...
It was a normal day, for once there was no trouble to look into, no mystery to solve, Jake was spending the evening in his office, bored out of his mind, Tord was feeling extra, and went home without permission.
Jake sighed, thinking of wether or not he should be worried that in such a busy city, there arent any unsolved crimes yet, 'Maybe its a holiday and i forgot...', he thought to himself, knocking his pen against the desk over and over again.
After a long, long time of silence, he stood up and left his office to check up on Tord, he opened his coworkers office's door to find darkness and nobody in it, he immediately realized that Tord had left already, without ever asking him, he sighed and shut the door, not bothering to even try and make Tord come back to work, he went to change and left aswell, having enough of the day.
--The next day, Friday--
Tord was sipping some coffee in his office while he was watching stuff on his computer, he was hoping Jake forgot to check for him yesterday, but he had a feeling he wasnt going to get away that easy today.
Then the moment came, Jake knocked on his office's door, he took a deep breath and spoke up, "Come in.", Jake came into the office, he crossed his arms and looked at his coworker with a pissed off expression.
"I know you snuck away.", he says with a low angry tone, Tord sighs and leans back, not knowing right away what to reply.
He crosses his arms too and talks, "And?", he asks, looking at Jake with a smug expression, Jake felt a weird tickling in his belly, he felt weird, "Nothing... I dont mind." he says slightly shakily and leaves the office, leaving Tord confused as to why he was let off the hook.
