  Five days after Tighnari left

Cyno had stayed up for a while, yet always ended up falling asleep on the couch or something. Collei seemed a bit on the edge since Tighnari had disappeared, yet nothing serious.

One night Cyno was practically about to fall asleep, when he suddenly felt this presence over him. Cyno slowly opened on eye, ready to attack if needed. Cyno saw those familiar brown and blue eyes, and instantly felt himself relaxing a bit. But then suddenly remembered who the owner of those beautiful eyes were.

"Tighnari! Where have you been?!"

Cyno hissed at Tighnari, standing up to hug him.

"Cyno..."

Cyno hadn't heard that nerdy voice in too long.

"Yes, dear?"

"There was something out there... it looked human, but... it wasn't. It wasn't human at all."

"Hmm..."

As much as Cyno wanted to believe Tighnari, he finds that hard to believe. He also recognizes the fact that Tighnari is also probably tired, and can't think straight.

"You get some sleep, we can take more about this in the morning."

Tighnari reluctantly nods and silently crawls into bed, his leg shaking. Cyno comes up behind him and pulls Tighnari close, smelling Tighnari's soft skin. Tighnari twitched a bit in his sleep, but Cyno was there to comfort him if needed.

Cyno loves moments like this. Moments where they silently lay in each other's presence, holding each other. Cyno knows Tighnari doesn't just let anyone do this. Even when they first started dating, Tighnari refused to sleep close to Cyno. Cyno never asked why, assuming it was too personal to share. Cyno remembers when Tighnari allowed Cyno to get close to him through, or actually it was the other way around. Cyno had fallen asleep in his bed, when he woke up in the middle of the night to Tighnari next to him.

Collei was surprised to see Tighnari tiredly walk outside.

"Where have you been?!" Collei yelled, forgetting about Tighnari's sensitive hearing for a moment.

Tighnari chuckled and waved his hand, seemingly wanting the attention of him

"I just got a little lost, that's all. No reason to be worried"

Collei looked at Tighnari suspiciously, seeming to see right through him, yet decided not to bug about it.

"Alright..."

"Hey, Collei, have you been practicing your reading while I was gone?"

Collei chuckled nervously, shuffling back inside

"A-actually I have something I need to do!"

"Mhm..." Tighnari crossed his arms sassily, chuckling at Collei's behavior. Tighnari was outside, heating up from mushrooms, when suddenly he felt a warm hand on his shoulder.

"How you feeling?"

"Better..."

"So, you wanna tell me more about what you saw?"

Tighnari froze before nodding

"I think it... was ... a scholar. It just stood there, and then ,BOOM, it started attacking me. Thankfully I killed it though."

"It attacked you? Are you okay?"

"Yes, I'm fine."

A week later things were back to normal, no one mentioned what happened, and there was no sights of any more of those... things.

"Tighnari! Tighnari! Please hurry quick!"
A young adventurer yelled

Tighnari came from inside his hut, he was currently all alone inside. Outside he saw an adventurer carrying a clearly injured individual.

"Please! He got attacked! There is a whole group of them!"

Tighnari quickly grabbed the injured individual, setting them on the bed.

"Group of what?"

"These... these weird monster looking things! They are all zombie looking!"

Tighnari nodded, not wanting to bring any more panic to the room. Tighnari carefully inspected the patient's body, eventually finding what seems to be a bite mark.

"Damn..."
