It was Saturday today, and Kamlai was going to go on a date with Thyme. She had a mix of different emotions, between the ones, nervous and excited. Her mum called her up as she daydreamed in her bed. "Kamlai!" Her mum yelled, which caused her to stir from her dreamland as she stood up from bed and walked out. "Kanokwan has a fever, can you bring some medicine and take care of her whilst I go out?" Kamlai rolled her eyes. "But mum, today I had to go out, I only have one hour left. What time will you be back?" "At three o'clock. Is going out more important that looking after your sister?" Kamlai turned to look at Kanokwan, and smiled. "No, nothing more is important than Kanokwan. Come on, you can leave. I'll take care of her then I can go when you're back." Kamlai said, smiling at her mother as she sat down on the sofa, holding her sister's hand.
The TV was on, and she saw Thyme talking on the news. "What about Thyme Akira Paramanaantra's love life?" Her eye lingered on the TV screen as it was a photo of Thyme. "Love? I don't think any girl can stand me. I'm not a guy who chases after someone. I don't like to pamper someone, Others usually pamper me. I have another flaw. I'm hotheaded. I don't like to wait for anyone. If you want to be with me, you have to be the one who waits. Something like that, If you want to be with me, you have to put up with me. It's just the way I am. But maybe...if this girl is important, she might....change me forever." He said, smiling. Kamlai's face flustered as her attention directed back to her little sister, who was laughing. Kamlai raised her eyebrows at her in a playful manner.
"What are you laughing at?" She asked, and began tickling her. As time passed by, Kanokwan had fallen asleep, and her fever had turned down, and Kamlai's mum had finally returned. Kamlai quickly got ready and left the house as it started to rain. She checked the time on her watch and it was 3:30. She sighed, and doubted that Thyme would be waiting for her. As he said on the TV, he doesn't like to wait for anyone. She walked to the town centre to see Thyme standing proudly in the rain, as his clothes were soaked and he turned around, and smiled at her. She walked towards him, putting the umbrella in front of him.
He smacked the umbrella away. "Damn it!" she looked at him, shocked. "Have you lost your mind?!" She yelled. "Is it now 1pm? Where were you? I've been waiting for you, and I've never waited for anyone! I'm wet like a 'piglet' in a pond!" "'Puppy!'" She yelled back. "I was late because I was taking car of my sister. I sent you a message, didn't you see it?" "And, who asked you to wait?! You're the one who set it up without asking me! There are shades for you to hide from the rain, but you didn't go! Are you stupid!" She yelled. "You're stupid!" He said, pointing his finger on her forehead and pushing her. "I called but you didn't pick up! What was I supposed to do?" She looked at him in a shocked manner.
"You call me stupid?" "What if you couldn't find me?!" He yelled, and she pushed him, and ran over to where her umbrella was and started whacking him with it. "Who's stupid now?" He put his arm over her shoulders and dragged her out of the rain with the umbrella over their heads. Thyme sneezed as he stood in a building as Kamlai went into the shop and bought a towel. "How's standing in the rain acting cool working for you? You'll get sick." She said, walking towards him. "I won't." He said, and sneezed again, making Kamlai smile at him. "Here, Dry yourself."
She passed him a towel, and he took it, as he dried his hair. "Here, my treat." She handed him the bottle. (I don't know the name of the drink) "What is it?" Kamlai looked at him. "You haven't tried it?" "Normally the tea my family drinks is Earl Grey or Darjeeling." He said, as he finished drying his hair. "So high class. I'm taking it back, If you don't, I'll drink it myself." She said, snatching the bottle away from him. He snatched it back and said, "I'll drink it." He opened the bottle, and took a sip of it. He was amazed. This was now his favourite tea to drink, and Kamlai had given it to him, which made it even more special.
Kamlai laughed at his reaction, as she squeezed water out from her dress. Thyme stared at her and asked, "Oh, where's your towel?" "It doesn't matter. The store only had one so I bought it for you." She said. He saw some of her hair was wet, so he got the towel in his hands, and dried her hair. Kamlai's cheeks turned red from his touch. Thyme held Kamlai's hand as he dragged her around the different stores. "Over there!" "It's closed, Thyme!" "It's only temporarily closed, they will open soon!" He said, as Kamlai dragged him away. "Let's go see a boat!" "Thyme you already have lots, I'm sure." She said, smiling at him.
