As we sat down in our new place
Staring at the white walls and empty shelves
I can't help but think how moving to a new place
Transforming a house to a home
Is almost the same as building our own world.
The emptiness just call out to us
Invites us to sit together
To dream of a home and envision a future
And as we go out picking every piece of furniture
Or dog ear catalogue pages, marking future goals
I can't help but think how making this new home
Is almost the same as building our own world.
