"Come on, Ma'am. It'll be fun!" An eager T pleaded, bouncing up and down on the frozen over lake. Her leader was sitting on the snow ridden shoreline with her eyes closed, slightly leaning back and having her hands prop her up, her eyes lazily opening in response to the pleas of little ol T."Ohh not now, luv. It's not every night we get to relax outside of the storm, can't you just feel that aura from the planets above?" She took it in and let out a satisfied sigh, "It's so delightful."
"Exactly, Ma'am! We don't get many nights like this, which is why you should come ice skating with me!" T said with a giggle as she gently thrusted about in circles on her pointed feet, leaving behind minute scars on the ice. C leaned forward, giving her full attention to T now as she gently shook her head.
"Not right now, T. But maybe I will in a little." C reassured, deciding to stretch and then fully lay out on her back as if she were bathing beneath the sun itself.
T pouted a little before deciding to leave it as is, she wasn't one to pry for petty things, especially against her boss; she genuinely believed her leader would have a wonderful experience if she joined her though. Something else crossed her mind, she looked around and took notice again that B was still not there with them, growing a little worried.
"Ma'am?" T glanced at her leader. C held in a small groan, refusing to sit back up and look at her petite colleague.
"Yes, T?" She groggily replied.
"Where is B? I thought he was supposed to be here with us. Should I go looking for him?" The subconscious fear of B possibly being lost or being injured somewhere crawling into her mind like an unwanted pest.
"That won't be needed, luv. He is just out hunting at the moment by my request, one he eagerly took up without a second thought." She slothfully waved her hand at T as she replied. "I'm sure he will be back any minute now."
T looked around a few times before finally deciding to take her leader's word for it. As she was about to continue ice skating, she heard a low whirr in the distance. It quickly approached them, and as T looked up, she caught a glimpse of a large, black figure in the clouds. Her tail wildly waged about as she instantly knew who it was. Just a few moments later, lo and behold, B landed just a few meters away from C with a loud bang, causing small clumps of ice and snow to trickle onto both C and T.
"Speaking of the bloody devil..." C sighed, sitting upright again as she brushed off the minor frost that had landed on her attire and face. T was bouncing up and down on the ice, a big silly grin implanted on her face.
"Hiiii sir!" She waved with quick jerks.
B's wings gently shuffled around as he readjusted to being on the ground again. His sizable wings that were practically twice his stature eventually retracting back into their designated sockets. B held about 5 deceased Worker Drones by their skinny legs with one hand wielding large serrated claws, and from the lack of settled frost and the steady trickle of oil from their open wounds, one could presume they were fresh kills at that. B looked at T and smiled, simply tipping his hat to her as he made his way over to C.
When he made it next to her, C appraised the dead workers and gave him a genuine proud smile.
"Well done, B! Seems like you've procured quite the haul there." She praised.
B snorted, lifting his "game" up to his head to observe them.
"Yea," His voice was raspy and low, "I found em out and about in the woods. They was pullin' a rusty sled behind them. Don't know why, guess they was gonna go campin' or somethin'. Begged me for mercy and about them having loved ones," he scoffed, "Like if any of them brain dead toasters could actually have the capacity to care about one another."
