Hey everyone! Thank you so much for tapping into this story. I'm so excited to share this idea with you guys so I hope you like it!

Bakugou had been bored the last few days. Nothing new had happened in a while, his routine grew trivial.

It had been a long time since their last mission, and since then, everything had been so focused on the academic side of school. It wasn't like class grew hard for him, so when the fun hero part got pushed to the backburner, his reason for existing and being present did too.

And while he refused to let his grades drop-- he spent many long nights studying to make sure of it-- he missed the excitement. His very being yearned for the rush of adrenaline, the explosions from his palms, and the need for quick thinking. The only quick thinking he needed as of late was when Aizawa would call on him when he wasn't paying attention.

He rested his head in the palm of his hand, burning holes into the back of Deku's head. He caught himself wondering if Deku felt the same way; if he and his quirk yearned to be out in the field again. After the defeat of All For One and the League, did Deku's quirk grow restless looking for a new purpose?

The freckled boy had once told Bakugou that that's what it felt like. Right before the final battle, Deku explained how One For All was sentient, or rather the remnants of the past users were, and that's what made up the sentience of One For All. He explained how the users' sole purpose was to cultivate the quirk, strengthen it, improve it, and then pass it on before they would meet their end. Now that its archnemesis had been taken care of, did that sentience disappear?

Did that mean that All Might was truly, forever gone?

"Bakugou." Aizawa's voice cut through his thoughts, pulling him back to the dull classroom.

The blonde lifted his gaze from the back of Deku's head and blinked at the chalkboard.

Shit, he had no idea what was going on. What hour was this? What subject?

"Thought so, maybe instead of planning Midoriya's murder, you pay attention. I was just about to explain a new mission."

Bakugou perked up along with the rest of the class. Those two words hadn't been heard in weeks. They were like music to his ears.

"I was contacted a few days ago for an opportunity for the whole class. We've been working out the details since then but I believe it's time to bring you all into it." Aizawa's hard dark gaze scanned the room and Bakugou prepared himself.

What would it be this time? A rescue mission? Maybe it would be to take down a drug lord or stop a suspected heist.

"As I'm sure most of you know, based on your music choices around the dorm, the famous singer Airi has a concert coming up in Tokyo."

Shitty Hair groaned, "We know, Mr. Aizawa. You were there when we stayed up until midnight when the tickets were released. Somehow, none of us got any!" His head slammed into his desk as if remembering the disappointing few minutes.

Bakugou wasn't personally there, he had gone to bed way before then, but he sure as hell heard it from the redhead the next day.

"Well then, I'm sure you'd be happy to know that all of you will be attending the concert." A shocked silence fell over the class so Aizawa continued, "When Airi first announced her concert in Tokyo in the biggest venue in the city, the tickets were sold out in a matter of minutes. This prompted the Hero Public Safety Commission to reach out to her and offer to have some heroes on standby to act as security.

"She agreed. But since Airi is in high school herself, she asked for some heroes her age. I believe she said it was something about keeping true to her demographic and giving the newbies a chance at a real job.

"With that being said, you all will act as the security personnel to her concert in Tokyo. You will plan the stations, the intervals, and all the details. Then you will carry out the night. If all goes well, she has promised to pay you generously for your hard work."

Dunce Face shot up from his seat, "We're gonna be paid to hang out with the wonderful Airi!? Am I dreaming!?"

Aizawa glared at the blonde, his eyes turning a glowing red and his hair coming to float behind him. "You all will take this mission seriously. This is a real job. If you mess this up, there won't be pros to step in. If you decide to screw around, people will get hurt. You are third-years now. You are only a few months away from becoming pros yourself. Time to start acting like it. Take the rest of the time to begin your planning."

With that, Aizawa dismissed the class, zipped into his sleeping bag, and inch-wormed himself out of the room.

Once the door shut behind him, the class broke out into excited cheers and squeals. "Omg! I can't believe Airi herself wanted hero students!" Raccoon Eyes's particularly shrill voice broke above the noise.

"I wonder what she's like in real person!"

"I bet she's super nice!"

"Who cares! She's super hot!"

"Who is Airi?" Icy Hot asked, and the noise suddenly quieted.

Dunce Face blinked at him. "What do you mean, 'who is Airi?' She's only the best singer in the nation! Heck, I'd say even the world!" He whipped his phone out of his pocket to quickly search for one of her music videos.

"Oh! This one is my favorite!" Shitty Hair tapped on a video. A guitar began playing, a prominent drum set a steady beat in the background. The screen went from black to a cityscape and then a figure walked out.

She had flowing pink locks, her clothes were form-fitting and stylish, but what really stood out to Bakugou was, "What's with the mask?" He decided to jump into the conversation.

Shitty Hair glanced at him with wide, disappointed eyes, "Not you too, Bakugou! I've told you about Airi!"

"Yeah, well I usually tune you out. Half the shit you say isn't important anyways." He grumbled.

"The mask is to hide her identity," Raccoon Eyes answered, "no one knows who she really is. It's to protect her in the real world so she can continue living life like a normal person but have a completely different life on stage! She's like a superhero!"

Bakugou's eye twitched at the phrase. A superhero? Really? She's just a singer. Anyone can do that. Not everyone can be a hero.

Raccoon Eyes squealed again, "Oh my gosh, guys! I'm so excited!"

"Let's start planning so we don't let our precious Airi down!" Dunce Face pumped his fist in the air, determination spreading across his features.

Bakugou's jaw clenched, his classmates irking him to no end. This nobody singer has everyone in a frenzy.

Dunce Face still had the video playing on his phone as he said, "Let's listen to her songs while we work!" And just as he said that, a clear strong voice filtered through the room.

Bakugou caught Deku smiling in front of him, bopping his head and mouthing the words to the song. Even shitty Deku knew who this extra was?

The blonde grumbled under his breath, abruptly standing up from his chair and storming towards the door.

"Hey, Bakubro! Where are ya going?" Shitty Hair called towards him but he didn't answer as he slammed the door shut behind him.

Bakugou wasn't sure how he felt about this new mission. On one hand, they had finally gotten a new hero assignment, and this one they would be all on their own. But on the other hand, he had to listen to the whole class drool over some nobody singer who thinks they're some sort of hero just because they hide behind a mask.

If this singer is too scared to show her true face, then she isn't worth knowing.

Not to mention they were just being her bodyguards!

His fists smoked with his burning anger. Of course, after being pent up on campus for a month, they give them a stupid bodyguard mission for some prissy-pants idol.

Hopefully, they just get this over with.

... and that's the first chapter! Please feel free to comment, I would love to see your reactions and receive your feedback!
