"Where are we going again?" Sero asked. The group of them had been walking for fifteen minutes now.

"I already told you," Kaminari replied with a shake of his head, "Shinsou told me about this coffee shop that's close to campus. I think we should try it!"

Sero turned to the purple-haired boy who was leading them, "So this adventure is your fault then."

He only shrugged, "What can I say, great coffee and great food are always great motivators."

Bakugou wanted to pretend like he wasn't here for as long as possible. After he was pulled away from the living room and out the door by Kirishima, he was considerably grumpy. He had refused to say anything so far, only allowing Kirishima to drag him down the street.

"Plus, I may know someone working there. I want to take my chance and embarrass them by showing up. Kaminari will do the rest of the work," Shinsou added.

Kaminari made an offended sound, "Hey, what's that supposed to mean?"

Shinsou stopped in front of a small building, "We're here."

On the overhanging ledge in cursive writing was the word Teikuan, a bell connected to the glass door to alert the workers inside when a new customer arrived. To the left of the glass door was a wide window, boxes of flowers laid right before it, framing it with color.

Kirishima tugged on his arm, "Come on, Bakubro, we're going inside." The blonde shuffled after everyone, the bell ringing when Shinsou pushed the door open and led everyone to a table inside.

The group of them sat down and Bakugou took the chance to note the interior. The walls were brick, as if the building had been repurposed to be a coffee shop. A wood and glass counter separated the dining room from the working area, a chalkboard with the menu written in neat cursive was above it.

"Okay, let me know what you want and I'll go up and order for everyone. They'll bring everything to us once it's ready." Shinsou explained tapping the laminated QR code taped to the middle of the table.

The group took turns scanning the code and browsed the menu.

Bakugou could see the obvious theme was breakfast. Most coffeeshops are. At the bottom of the menu though, there was a section for desserts. Everything from apple pie to an ice cream sundae, probably directed towards guests who come in later in the day.

He decided to go with a plain coffee and a croissant. He was not in the mood to order anything else.

Shinsou jotted down everyone else's orders and headed up to the front.

Bakugou watched him since he didn't feel like joining in on the conversation happening around him. The name Airi was thrown around and he wanted no part in it.

A girl walked to stand at the register, rolling her eyes with a smile at Shinsou. She had dark hair, almost black, and from the distance Bakugou sat, her eyes looked a light purple. She was wearing ripped blue jeans with a white long-sleeve sweater. A light brown apron covered her front.

She looked like every coffee shop worker, Bakugou thought. She perfectly blended into her scenery. Everything about her seemed so ordinary.

God, was this the life he was stuck in? Going to an ordinary, mundane coffee shop because he has nothing better to do?

Shinsou began reading the orders off and the girl nodded, tapping buttons on the screen on her end.

She handed him a number but Shinsou didn't leave right away. Instead, they continued to talk. The girl crossed her arms with another roll of her eyes, smirking as she replied to whatever he had said.
