Haon stepped forward on the stage in front of thousands. For many years, Haon was into Hip Hop from watching BigBang as a kid and idolizing Jay Park. From his energetic and sometimes would love performances he wanted to be a rapper. He picked up the mic at a young age and started rapping. At first, he wasn't that good, but he soon learned to flow his words.

"What's your name kid?" Asked Swings.

"Kim Haon hyung. I'm a second year of highschool. My crew and I are going to perform." Haon bowed shyly. He wasn't used to seeing such famous faces.

He took a deep breath and his group started to rap. Each of them gave their own introduction, showing off their rapping.

The judges were mildly impressed, some were not. And Haon tried again to rap, but not to the same success he had initially. He soon eliminated after that.

Haon returned back to school defeated...

"Man we sure got recked pretty badly." Complained one of his classmates.

"I legit thought we were gonna win this show." Said the other student.

"Come on guys it's just one show. There's still a million of opportunities." Haon tried to motivate them.

"I'm done Haon, it was nice while it lasted." One of the students left.

"Me too, I don't want to get humiliated like that again." Said the student as Haon was left by himself.

Haon left the school feeling very defeated. He wasn't expecting the roster to be this challenging. He tried to really carry his whole team but he ended up letting them down.

He then saw a pretty young girl around his age passing by. She seemed to be crying for some reason as she wept her tears in sorrow.

"I wonder what happened to her?" Haon thought as she walked away but not before looking at him.

For the remainder of 2017 was mostly uneventful, focusing life as a highschool student. His parents suggested he should just focus on school and wait until graduation got a better opportunity.

So the boy had no choice but to focus on academics.

But an opportunity would arise during one fateful day at in November...

Haon was chilling at a library hitting the books as always. Haon was called a bright child. He saw the importance in building knowledge. Call him nerdy, but he valued science and philosophy. There was some truths to it especially in this work obsessed culture he was raised in.

He was inspired by RM to think beyond himself, to question society, and learn from its mistake. A nation that was born out of bloodshed and decades of being occupied by foreign powers, Korea has developed into the Rising Tiger it is now. With the advent of Kpop and K-dramas made people who weren't Korean to become invested.

And all the while things may appear fine, for this already raised here there are many reforms needed. With a very demanding work schedule and little opportunity to climb up the social ladder, it has caused the people to lose hope in their future. Consequently, many have took their lives due to such hopelessness. It's such a sad reality people like him have to live with. That is why he pushes harder than ever before, he doesn't end up in that financial rut many people are trapped.

Still though that didn't mean he would settle for a nine to five. He has the gift of rapping and he still believed that he was just getting started.

"I'm done reading today I can call it a day.". Haon closed the book and packed his things.

It was time for register again for the Highschool Rapper...

He ran faster than ever in hopes of getting registered. He wasn't going to lose that opportunity again. He was so close last time and even without his friends to help, Haon was determined to win the spot.

He ran fast that he nearly tripped. As he tried to regain his footing, he saw a business card lying on the floor. It was partially muddy from the previous rain but had the clear logo of an agency. Intrigued he picked it up.

"KQ Entertainment?... I never heard of this company before." Haon could barely see the info aside from the logo itself.

"Whatever finders keepers." Haon placed it in his pocket as he took off the register.
