February-April 2018
Haon spent the next two months getting accustomed to the life as trainee. He learned quickly being an idol isn't sunshine and rainbows. He was put under a training program and diet in order for him to reach his ideal weight. He felt personally attacked on issue with weight. He was considered normal by Korean standards and yet they're demanding him to lose weight.
Sometimes Hongjoong would be there but most of the time he was away, leaving Haon mostly by himself. He didn't mind, on the contrary he welcomed loneliness. He was sort of introverted so he was used to the quiet atmosphere. It allowed him to focus on getting his routine done.
By the end of the year, he started noticing changes to his face and arms. He lost significant babyfat on his cheeks and he could feel hardened muscle on his arms. It wasn't totally out there, but he could feel those subtle changes. He also felt more energized during the day. He got to celebrate the holidays in the peace of his home where his parents baked a special cake congratulating him.
It was now February and it was time for Haon to try High School Rapper again. He stood on the familiar stage with Groovyroom, Cheetah, and few other rappers were watching. They witnessed his somewhat awkward entrance as he tried to set up his desk.
"Annyeong." Contestant Sandy said waving at him.
"Annyeong, it's good to be here." His time as trainee forced him to be more social towards strangers. He still nervous on the inside but managed to play it off with a casual grin.
Next to him was a boy who's hair completely covered his eyes. He was quiet and had a very serious expression.
"Mianhe." Haon apologized finally setting the table down as he sat down next to him. He then waved casually at the boy.
The girl named Sandy was giggling at the new boy. He was charismatic but awkward, almost like Eric Nam. She then saw his name tag.
"Haon is your name?" Sandy asked.
"It totally is. It means to spread the color of the sky all over. In others words I want my name to be known all over." Haon declared.
"That's kind of bold don't you think?" Said another contestant nearby.
"I know anything is possible. I've leaned my lesson from the last season. You'll see." Haon nodded.
"You competed last season?" Sandy asked.
"I did but not very far. It was a lesson for me to improve my craft." Haon explained.
"What's with the pretty boy look are you some idol?" Said another contestant.
"You could say that... I mean I haven't debuted yet."
"Oh so you're a trainee? Which agency are you from?"
"KQ Entertainment... It's a small agency right now, but I'm hoping to make the cut." Haon stated with hope.
"I don't think I've heard of them." Sandy said.
"It's fine that you don't, but soon enough you will hear us." Haon stated with confidence. The young girl kept giggling.
Haon then noticed the long-haired boy still sitting there with the same deadpan expression. Not once has he smiled nor has he said something. He really wanted to break the ice.
"Your hair is so long man. Looks nice. Where are you from? Haon asked.
"Incheon." The boy said in a monotone voice. It seemed he really didn't want to talk.
He asked a few other questions but no response. The judges took notice how polar opposites their personalities are. He gave the other boy a pat who simply mean mugged him. Soon enough the Sophomore were all called up to introduced themselves. Once it was finally Haon's he stood up proudly and stated a few things about himself.
