╔══ஓ๑♡๑ஓ══╗As the train stopped I looked out the window noticing the gloomy gray weather. I hated gloomy weather, it just made me feel so unproductive but I'm guessing I'm gonna be seeing this weather a lot.
Stepping out of the train I get my luggage and wait for my grandpa to pick me up. I haven't seen my Grandparents since I was seven and I'm seventeen now. My grandparents have lived in Washington almost all their lives and it was a big surprise in the neighborhood when my dad moved out and became a big-shot designer.
The town was small so everyone knew everyone's business. That was one thing I liked about New York, where I lived, everyone didn't care much about others. All they cared about was their jobs and money so coming to this small town where everyone was practically in each other's business was kinda hard.
After a few minutes of waiting my Grandpa finally pulls up.
"Hey there collie! Long time no see, get in hurry before it starts raining" my grandpa says excitedly with a big smile on his face.
My grandparents were very jolly people, that was one thing I liked about them.
"Hey grandpa, how's grandma?" I ask as I load my stuff in the car.
"Oh you know the same old, same old but hey she made your favorite strawberry tarts at home!" my grandpa says as he quickly gets back in the car.
We talk on the way home as we pass by the town. The town was silent, there weren't many people out but you could tell this place was a very quiet area. The house was old and even though my dad offered to buy them a new one or move them out to New York they declined saying the house was perfect for them and that they want to stay here. Parking up in the old garage my grandma ran up to me giving me a big hug.
"Collie you made it! Oh look at you, you're getting so old" She exclaims with a huge smile on her face dragging me in the house.
My grandma always had a knack for decorating so the house looked different than I remembered.
"Come, come you must be starving here I made so much food" she says quickly as she gets a plate ready for me.
This was another thing I loved about my grandparents, they were always so nice and welcoming unlike my dad. That night we ate a huge dinner with my favorite strawberry tarts. I was stuffed by the time I made it up to my room. My room looked different this time. It was still pink but the tiaras that I had painted on my walls were gone. My grandparents always made sure to keep my room in their house and I let my grandma decorate it when I was gone.
It sure was beautiful, my bed was still the same queen size bed with baby pink bed sheets and a canopy over it, my windows were covered with a lace white window curtain and I had my own vanity with a huge closet.
I was exhausted as I jumped on my bed bouncing a little. I would be starting school soon and I dreaded it since I had to start in the middle of the year. How terrible was that, I didn't know anybody, didn't know where to go and most importantly I didn't know what to wear. I know that sounds bad but seriously, I couldn't pack my whole closet in my suitcase and so I decided I would do some shopping tomorrow. And with that I washed up and got ready for bed before turning off my lights.
