It seemed as if the Gods answered my prayers because that man did not show up the next day or the days following. In the meantime I flourished, literally, I made many new friends, got to know the school and town, and even got closer with Bella.

All though I was completely bombarded with boys trying to ask me out I successfully survived a week in Forks without anyone trying to kill me or myself. The rain heavily poured as I tried to air dry my baby pink cardigan that I just bought but it seemed useless as that rain and cotton didn't mix well together, my clothes mattered way more than this stupid weather.

Walking to class with Eric I giggle at his joke. Continuing to talk we were interrupted by Mike who actually had perfect timing since Eric was actually gonna ask me out but I really didn't want to accept or decline him since I felt bad but I guess you could say he was saved from rejection. Walking to my seat I noticed someone sitting there.

Praying that it wouldn't be Edward Cullen I open my eyes and of course Edward Cullen is sitting there. Sighing I place my down and just as I was about to get my pencil out he says something that shocks me.

"Hello," He says.

"I'm sorry I didn't get to introduce myself last week, I'm Edward Cullen" Looking at him as if he was an Alien I quickly recover noticing how rude that must've been.

"Oh no it's fine I'm Colette, Colette Cromwell ''.

Thankfully Mr Molina started his lesson saving me from talking to Edward even more but as I found out we had to do partner work, I sighed internally having to socialize with him.

"Ladies first" He offers, Looking into the microscope.

"So you were gone for a while," I pointed out trying not to sound rude.

"Yeah i was out of town, just personal reasons" He chuckles.

"Prophase" I say, sliding the microscope to him.

"Mind if I take a look?" He asks. I nod writing down the answer with my pink pen. Looking at my writing I notice how odd the spelling I just wrote is.

"It's Prophase" He says as I nod, not looking up but still trying to spell prophase correctly. Curse you dyslexia.

"P-R-O-P-H-A-S-E" He says awkwardly looking at my terrible mistakes in trying to spell. "Thanks" I muttered l embarrassed.

"So how'd you like the rain? He asks.

"Well it's not my favorite but I can live with it" I shrug as he chuckles.

"What?" Looking in the microscope

"It's anaphase" Is all he says. Nodding, I write it down in Greek, giving up trying to write it in English. "If the rains not your favorite, why'd you move here?"
