(Monday 7:00am I woke up without waking Seth; I put on an oversized long sleeve shirt and shorts, I went downstairs and made some coffee. I sat on the counter thinking if I should say something to Seth or not "I should tell him" I thought; I got off the counter and got a coffee cup, I poured my coffee. Suddenly I felt arms wrapped around me)
"Good morning" Seth said.
(He kissed my neck)
"Morning, we need to talk" I said.
(I turned around)
"Uh oh that's never good" Seth said.
"No it's not that bad but we need to talk" I said.
(I grabbed my coffee cup and we went to the living room and sat on the couch)
"What's wrong" Seth asked.
"You know I forgave you right" I said.
(He nodded)
"I still forgive you but I have to tell you how you made me feel Seth, you made me feel really bad, I know you know I hate the dark but the why is what you may not know" I said.
(I took a deep breath)
"I hate it because my dad hated me; he use to beat me every chance he got and he has gotten drunk because of me, one day he came home drunk, he had a pocket knife in his hand he tied me to the bed and started cutting me over and over, that's how I got the scars, anyway he almost killed me that night if it wasn't for Liz he would've killed me. Every time you lock me in the dark I have memories of my father beating me and trying to kill me" I said.
(I stopped looking at Seth and looked down at my mug in my hands; tears started to flow, Seth took the mug from me and set it on the table. He got closer to me and wiped my tears; he held me)
"I'm so sorry, I had no idea I put you through that, I'm so sorry" Seth said.
(I kept crying until I couldn't anymore; soon I let Seth let me go)
"I think I'm going to take a walk on the beach" I said.
"I'll come with you" Seth said.
(I was getting off the couch)
"No, I want to be alone" I said.
(Seth nodded and I grabbed my mug; I went into the kitchen and put it in the sink then I went out the glass door, I walk towards the water bare foot. A few moments later I was by the water looking out to the Ocean)
"Hey" Sam said.
(I looked to my left)
"Hey, what are you doing out here" I said.
"I saw you just wanted to say hello, so what are you doing out here" Sam said.
"Just thinking" I said.
"Want to talk about it" Sam asked.
"No not really, um so have you lived here all your life" I asked.
(We sat in the sand)
"Yeah, is Liz your only sibling" Sam asked.
"Yeah, It's been me and her against the world for years. Do you have any brothers or sisters" I asked.
"I have a little sister she's eight, she lives with my aunt" Sam said.
"What happened to your parents" I asked.
"They died in a car accident last year, what about you your parents cool with you living with your boyfriend" Sam said.
"Well I'm sorry first off and my mom died when I was born and my dad died last year" I said.
