Next door neighbour

I had got home late and was planning on taking my little sister to the park while my stepmom was out with her friends but as I turned up at my house there were two massive vans parked outside my house.

I managed to get passed and into my house my brother sitting on the sofa playing FIFA and my sister was playing with some dolls in the kitchen.

I picked up Jade putting my bag down then walked through to see my brother.

" Archie why is there vans outside ?" I stood in front of the TV so he would listen to me ,
" Because people are moving in next door, now get out the way !" I shifted out of his way and took jade upstairs to get her ready for going to the park.

She was still in her pyjamas but I couldn't let her pick her own outfit otherwise she would wear an Elsa dress with stripy socks and a monkey hat , trust me it's happened before.

Once she was dressed in her pink nirvana top I had got her for her birthday and her blue jeans we set off to the park leaving Archie on his own , he'll probably burn down the house or some thing ( I really hope he doesn't because I don't think our insurance will cover it )

When I walking out the front getting passed the vans a man was carrying bunch of guitars into the house.

Maybe I could borrow them some time seeing as sue my stepmom is against all things musical and creative. I wouldn't have to go to the music shop every day to practice.

"jade do you want to go get a nice cream before we get to the swings ?" She had been pestering me for ages because she was hungry so I decided to take her to mrs.Vally's ice cream van.

We were queueing up for a while before we got second to front and jade stated crying.

" What's wrong jade ?" I picked her up and hugged her tight ,
"I can't see the ice cweem because that mans in the way " she whimpered , I had to hold back a small laugh as I tapped the guy on the shoulder,
"Excuse me but my sister would like to see the ice cream menu" I giggled shyly.

" Oh yeah sure , sorry " as soon he turned around I recognised him.

"Luke ?" I think that's his name , that's what his friends called him right ?

Earlier I hadn't really look at him closely but now I can see him properly ,
He's slightly taller than me and his hair is styled perfectly , his eyes so bright and sparkling and his smile just makes me smile.

Why am I thinking this I don't even know him ? You don't have to know him to tell he's beautiful

I hadn't realised I was staring until he coughed slightly bringing me out of my gaze.

" I never caught your name earlier"
"Lily and you're Luke , I heard your friend call you that"
"Yeah I'm Luke and it's your turn to order" he smiled at me then walked over to the benches with his mr whippey.

I ordered jades ice cream, I didn't have enough money for my own one because I spent it on my new arctic monkeys top.

At the bottom of the park was an area filled with trees , swings and pick nick benches.

I sat jade down in the swing pushing her slightly when I got a text , me being stupid I took my phone out my pocket to check it and got hit by the swing right in my gut.

I doubled over in pain but felt a strong pair of hands support me.

" Are you ok ? Today really isn't your day is it , i mean you're being so clumsy " he winked at me coursing me to blush.

" Well I wasn't the one that knocked the coffee out my hand was I ?"

I sat down on the bench next to him , making sure jade wasn't doing anything as stupid as her big sister.

" You didn't get a ice cream , do you want some of mine ?" I was really hungry I hadn't eaten in two days but instead had smoothies and lots of water nothing in healthy ( apart from a bit of coffee today ) but I really couldn't break now , it will ruin every thing and I'll just stay fat.

" I'm on a diet" he looked up at me with wide eyes and a frown ,
" You don't need to diet , you're beautiful , now have some ice cream it's got chocolate chunks and caramel source " he passed me the Ice cream and I couldn't really say no it looked so good.

We were in the middle of a conversation about if we were superheroes what we would be when I heard a small cry from the swings.

Jade is equally as clumsy as me but cries twice as much ( but she is only three so it's okay )

I rushed over and picked her up off the concrete ground , she had small rips in her jeans and bloody knees. I hugged her tight and kissed the top of her head. I looked in her eyes and pushed back her curly blond hair behind her ear, " it's ok I'll get you some hello kitty band aids then we can go home and watch pepper pig " she nodded in agreement.

Luke looked at me laughing slightly , " What ? " I asked him as I got my bag and we headed out of the park.
" Your sister is now a tiny blond version of you " I looked at jade , sure enough we were pretty much the same person with our ripped jeans and band T-shirts but she had hair that was far curlier than mine and light blue/ green eyes , similar to our mom.
According to my dad I am the spitting image of mom just with brown hair.

I miss her so much.

" Do you live around here ? " He asked me as we left the park and down the road to the bus stop.
"Yeah I live in the area , the last stop around the corner." we stepped on the bus that had just arrived and made our way to the back I sat down next to Luke with jade on my lap because she was too scared to sit next to the old lady with a glass eye that was always there sitting in that spot.

" Oh that's good new because I've just moved here and I need some friends around here, but I haven't actually seen the house yet , my mum gave me address because I was at my friends house all day." he rambled on and it was really cute just the way he was nervous yet really excited.
" Don't worry I can work out where about it is" he passed me the address and my eyes lit up a small smile tugging at the corners of my mouth.
" What ? Where is it ? " He asked confused , " Your the family moving next door to me !" I squealed with joy and he looked just as happy , " Hello there neighbour."

Hey guys , I'm trying to build up the story but things are kinda going too fast so I'll try do some character development next chapter.

Hope this isn't too shitty for you and mega cringe worthy.
Sorry for the short chapters I'll try and make done longer and more exciting.
