Hello, Author here. Here's the re-written version of the book I made maybe 2 years ago. I'm not too sure how many updates there will be but I hope I can make it as liked as the previous cringe fest of what the previous was lmao. Anyways let's jump back to the start. I hope I don't let you guys down with this story after not updating the old one. ^^

"RAWR, UWU! Here's your favourite cat-girlfriend to bri-" My alarm rang out before I quickly stopped it. Sitting there in silence I hoped that my parent's didn't hear that luckily I had remembered they were already at work, I guess that was a perk of having scientists for parents or maybe they were still in the basement working on that project I didn't even know any more... "That piece of shit." I cursed out loud as I knew my friend didn't just put his new contact information into my phone. Letting out a loud sigh I got up and opened Tiktok and began scrolling through the brain-rot filled videos, after quickly showering I threw on my uniform and began my walk to school.

The day flew by quickly all I really remember was the walking to each session. I never really paid attention and my grades showed it, I always wanted to know why I was born like this but I gave up quickly as that was a question for god. The one person that would always brighten my day and would snap me out of that trace was my best friend, Jono. He always seemed so carefree and I wanted to be like that as well. "Yo! Y/N how you doing man?" He spoke, greeting me with a smile. Doing our signature greeting we both smiled at each other, "Doing good Jono, What about you?" After that interaction it just snowballed into a conversation. After school I walked home and put my bag on the floor next to the sofa, and let myself sink into the couch.

Slowly getting bored I turned on the TV and began watching the news. I had heard there was a war going on in another country and it was slowly getting bigger and bigger. I had always joked around that humanity would be it's own downfall but this was getting concerning, suddenly the reporter looked terrified as he began to talk again.

"We have breaking news! It has been reported that a ICBM missile has struck Antarctica due to a mis-calculation on the computer! It has been calculated that the ice caps have began to melt causing sea levels to rise exponentially fast! These will cause massive tsunami's and it has been informed for everyone to evacuate into the bunkers!" The reporter spoke with increasingly noticeable worry. I looked outside to see cars, trucks and even people run in different directions to the closest bunker. I was still shocked from all this information and couldn't bring myself to move, Before I could realise it I was picked up off my feet and was getting pushed to the basement by my parents.

"D-Dad!?! What the hell is going on?!?" I shouted as my mum followed as well, with them not responding to me I knew something was wrong as I got to the basement I was greeted with a metal door one that looked to be something that would be on a space ship from star wars. With my mum putting in a password the door opened and we all rushed in. Inside was a wire filled room with three empty glass pods suddenly I was shoved inside one as multiple tubes were attached to me.

"Son. This is a cryo chamber, me and your mother have designed it for us to be preserved for a 1000 years. We have both calculated that earth will be uninhabitable for humans for a long time, so with this we hope for you to at least carry on the torch of humanity if everything fails. Now rest easy, we will meet again." My dad spoke as my sight became blurry, and everything turned to black.

Author here with a quick note, before this point in the book it was written a while ago. So if you can notice a change in the writing style that's why. Sorry for the inconvenience.

It felt like only a small nap before I woke up. It was disorientating being snaped awake by the machine after only sleeping for.... how long did I sleep for again? As I tried to remember back to before the... wait what even happened? It felt like a heavy curtain covered my memories. Every single detail about their faces, I just couldn't seem to remember. All I seemed to recollect about the situation was that my parents had put me in this machine to help me survive an apocalyptic event? I clenched my hand. Did I not even remember their faces?
