"THE MIXING PROCESS IS COMPLETE"

The all-but-one members of Star Fox were sitting on their old wide circular table, with the following clockwise traversal: Falco, Slippy, Peppy, and Fox. With ROB finishing his own unbiased mixing process and placing an even portion of cards on each member's corner, the game begun.

The first card was a red number 1.

"Heh, I'll go first" Said Falco with his casual smugness as he placed a blue number 1 card, almost knocking down his half-full soda. Slippy looked at it with a slight shake of his head. The amount of the expired ones he found in the bird's fridge while he was cleaning up... "Geez..." The little toad thought when he threw them out.

Fox glanced at Falco before he placed a blue reverse card, "hm, pretty smooth playing, Fox." Falco thought sarcastically, then placed a +2 card.

"Hey! We just begun the game..." Slippy frowned a bit.

"Tough luck, Slips." Replied Falco smugly, after giving a smirk with a sideways glance and a snicker.

"Well... That's what I expect from a bird who leaves an uneaten apple next to his bed." Slippy thought of what he cleaned earlier as he sighed, giving a quiet snicker of his own, then pulled two cards out of the side pile.

"Hmmm..." Peppy thought as he glanced at his prune juice, then at his cards in confusion. He didn't really know how to play the game, and unbeknownst to him, he actually had some decent cards. But he noticed the similarity between his only red card and the last laid one, so he laid the card, which was a red +2 card. Unaware it'd screw over Fox, who was next.

Fox, even though initially startled by the choice of card at the beginning of the game, saw the inadvertent chance and took it, placing a green +2 card.

"NO! damn it!" exclaimed Falco.

"Tough luck, Falco." Slippy claimed cheekily.

Now it was Slippy's turn, he's not that lucky in ONO, neither in cards nor choices; But as he glanced at his own cards, most of which were regular number cards, he found 2 +4 cards...

Once his little excitement over seeing them subsided, he was too worried to use them, as he could get his trouble handed back to him like who he just made fun of... so he decided to place a puny green 5 card.

As his turn came next, Peppy was starting to doze off. As Slippy initially told him, it's not a good idea to play a board game on a recliner. But for the sake of easing tensions the team's having, he tried to continue... and placed a yellow 6 card.

Here, Fox raised his eyebrows and glanced questioningly at the old hare. "Um... Peppy? That's neither a 5 nor a green one." Said Fox questioningly.

"Oh! Um... sorry, guys." Said Peppy as he blinked several times and looked through his cards again. He didn't find a fitting card, so he took his mistaken card back and drew one from the side pile, then took a sip of his prune juice.

"This strong smell's gonna kill me." Thought Falco as he took a deep breath. to him, prune juice had a pretty strong unpleasant smell.

Fox was next, he placed a yellow stop card, skipping Falco's turn and making Slippy next. Slippy placed a yellow 9 card, and then Peppy half-consciously placed a yellow reverse card, making it Slippy's turn again...

Slippy was a bit nervous here, even though he didn't have any yellow cards, he was still concerned about wasting one of his two opportunistic cards. He looked at them for a bit, he then thought of how funny it'd be for him if he trolled Falco once his concern is subsided... so he put a smirk on his wide mouth and put one out for Falco to argh over.
