No one's pov.
Then the monster bursts from under the ice, causing everyone to scream. Sid then tries to run, but the monster sends him flying into the air.
"Mammal overboard!", screamed Sid. He lands in the water. Diego struggles to keep his balance on an ice flow.
"Whoa! Whoa! Oh! Oh!", expressed Diego and dug his claws into the ice flow to prevent himself from slipping. He then literally froze.
"Diego, move!", demanded Summer but it looked like he didn't even hear her. Summer groans and heads off to look for Ellie and the possums.
Meanwhile, the monster swims down while the other swims up in front of Manny who runs off. The monster roared, causing Manny to scream.
"Ellie, get up!", demanded Summer as she ran towards Eddie, Crash, and Ellie who was playing dead.
"Ellie, get up! If you play dead, you'll be dead!", stated Crash. He then opens Ellie's eye and slaps it. "Look at me!". The action caused Ellie to scream and shoot up. The four of them ran off to land.
Meanwhile, Sid is struggling to stay above the surface as the monster swims underneath him. He swims towards Diego.
"Diego!", called Sid. Diego only breathes heavily.
The other monster continues to chase Manny. Sid dog-paddles towards Diego who is still frozen in fear.
"Diego!", Sid called again.
He looks behind to see the monster swimming towards him. Sid screams and swims faster. He eventually reaches Diego as the monster closes in. Sid climbs onto Diego's ice float and tries to get him moving.
"Come on, Diego! Come on! Oh!", Sid begged as he saw the monster getting closer. He then got an idea and grabbed Diego's tail. "This may sting a little!", added Sid and bit into Diego's tail. Diego growls in pain.
Diego and Sid make a break for it as the monster chases them, jumping in and out of the water to catch them. However, Diego and Sid manage to reach the safety of the land, and the monster is defeated. He glares at them before sliding back into the water. Sid collapses beside Diego, relieved to be still alive.
Manny is walking on an ice float and looks around for the monster who is nowhere in sight until it jumps out of the water in front of Manny. He backs away from it and the ice tilts because of his weight. The monster uses this to his advantage and jumps into the air. The monster opens its hungry jaws but they get stuck on Manny's tusks which wedge his mouth open. Manny sees Ellie looking at him worriedly and puts on a determined look. He swings the monster and throws it off, sending him flying over a chunk of ice and back into the water. Manny glares at it and the other monster before the duo swims away. Manny heads over to Sid, Diego, and Summer.
Summer's pov.
"What in the animal kingdom was that?!", asked Sid.
"I don't know but from now on, land safe. Water not safe.", stated Diego and I nodded. We then walk away from the water's edge to Eddie, Crash, and Ellie.
"That was the bravest thing I've ever seen.", 'praised' Ellie.
"It was nothing really. I, uh...", answered Manny.
"Oh, it's not a compliment. To a possum, bravery is just dumb.", explained Ellie.
"Yeah, we're spineless.", stated Crash.
"Lily-livered.", added Eddie.
"Maybe mammoths are going extinct because they put themselves in danger too often. Maybe you should run away more.", suggested Ellie. 'You've got to be kidding me ' I thought.
