Brighton, 2019
"Buenasss!!" Juno had just gotten home, after a 2 hour road trip.
She opened her red front door, the one she had been opening since she could walk. The white walls surrounded her, as the salty smell of the beach town stayed behind and the nostalgic smell of mate filled her senses. Shortly, she heard small but fast steps coming down the stairs.
"JUNOOOOOOOO!!!" Catalina exclaimed, overly excited by her older sister.
"Cata! ¿Que tal? Estás enorme!" Juno held her up in her arms, spinning her around towards the couch.
Her mother reached the living room as well, "Mi amor! How was the trip?"
Hugging her, Juno replied, "Hola Ma, good, it didn't feel as long as it used to." She was grinning from ear to ear, she was finally back home, but something was missing...
Suddenly, four pairs of hands reached for her. Two held her feet and legs while the other two held her arms. They swung her from side to side yelling, "Hay una Alemana en la casa! Sáquenla de acá! Intrusa!" As they yelled, their voices mixed with laughter and shortly, Juno's complains could be heard.
"LA RE CONCHA DE TU PUTA MADRE! LUCAS, JAMES, STOP IT NOW!"
They finally stopped and let her down, not without rubbing her hair, completely messing it up.
"Juno! Don't speak like that, we have a baby in the house." Said a man's voice that seemed much older.
Nicolás, or Nick, as Juno liked to call him, stood near the stairs, looking at her sternly in a playful way.
"Nick! Wow! La barba se te pone mas blanca cada día, o soy yo?", she joked, as her Argentinian accent rolled through her tongue.
"You just got here and you're already causing trouble, typical Juno." He hugged her, welcoming her back warmly.
"Okay everyone, food's ready!", proclaimed Lucia to the family, "Juni, andá dejá tus valijas. Tu habitación de siempre está limpia."
Juno hastily made her way up the stairs, her brothers laughing at her and her struggling figure. As soon as she noticed this, she straightened herself and endured the weight, who's calling her weak now, huh?
As she reached the top of the staircase, and made a sharp turn to the right, she met up with her childhood bedroom's door.
This door wasn't like any other door in the house, though, as it was covered in stickers of all kinds. From rock bands, to football teams and players, to 'keep out' signs.
Twisting the handle, she reached little Juno's paradise. The walls were filled with music posters and signed football shirts. The walls were a light blue and her radio was still sitting on top of her wardrobe. Her bed still held a fluffy blanket and way too many pillows, and her lava lamp was still sitting untouched on her left nightstand. But there was one thing she had been longing to see ever since she hopped into her car on her way home, and that was the view from her window.
As she went over to the large glass at the end of her room, she leant over, opening the window, letting the ocean breeze flow all around. Although it was dark outside, the small lamp stands that decorated the city did their job well. Every little street was lit up, the yellow shine illuminating everything in its path, like a raging fire.
Not too far away from where she stood, Juno could catch the tiniest bit of the sea, its waves rocking the floating boats back and forth, as the tide changed pace.
If anyone asked the young girl what peace meant to her, it would be exactly that. Just sitting on her window sill, looking over her hometown, thinking about nothing and everything.
Suddenly, she felt a vibration on her bed, her phone lit up with the only name that wouldn't bother her to respond to, even if it broke through her peace bubble.
"Hello Jilldo!", she answered, sitting on her bed.
"Hey Jo, how was the trip?", Jill did honestly care about her trip and how she felt, but she secretly only wanted to hear the younger girl's voice. Even if she only complained for an hour straight about how terrible the ride had been, Jill would've been just as invested as she would be to her favourite TV show.
The two of them talked for a bit, sharing their short anecdotes from the short time they had spent apart, but it was time for Juno to go have dinner.
"I have to go, Jill. Dinner's calling. Try not to miss me too much.", she said teasingly, trying to rile Jill up as usual.
"Oh Jo, you know that's impossible.", answered Jill while smiling.
Juno blushed, a rare occurrence, but she couldn't help it. Usually Jill acted more defensive, she never gave into Juno's games.
But the call was over before she could analyse her suspicious behaviour, and her stomach and her siblings shouted at her for dinner.

A bit of a shorter one because I don't have much to write about Brighton, lol. Also, sorry for the slow updates, I'm about to start school again so I was using up my vacation time as much as possible.
Finally, what do we think about the translations being in the comments? I thought it would be a good way to do it so that the story is not disturbed, but tell me what you think!
Thanks for 3K views!!
Lola:)
