Carina and Maya's dream is to become parents. The two struggle to conceive, Carina starts to believe that she's the reason they can't have children. It takes a toll on her, she misses a few days of work, Maya tries her best to be there for her wife...
Andy "leaving so early", Maya "I have to", Andy "is something going on", Maya "Andy I don't question you when you leave early", Andy "I'm just curious that's all", Maya "you'll find out soon", Andy "okay", Maya threw her backpack over her shoulder and headed out, she headed back home first, changing and then headed to Grey's. Carina "hey", Maya "hey", Carina "I think she's in the daycare area", Maya "did you sign her papers", Carina "yeah, I told Miranda that you were coming to pick her up since I'm stuck here until closing time", Maya "what time you out of here, 9", Carina "yeah and I really want to go home. I think I'm gonna take tomorrow off", Maya "did you do any school searching yet", Carina "I barely had a break for lunch", Maya "babe if you need to come home and don't wait until later. You shouldn't be here if you are stressed out and not feeling good", Carina "we are short in staff", Maya "I'm going to tell Miranda, get changed and meet me in the front", Carina "babe", Maya "Just do it", Maya went around the hospital in search of Miranda and finally found her. Miranda "hey didn't expect to see you today", Maya "I'm here to pick up Violet and take her home", Miranda "aww that's great", Maya "yeah, me and Carina are really happy to give her a loving home, by the way speaking of my wife, she's leaving. She's under a lot of stress and is not feeling well so she's going to be back in a day or two", Miranda "ok. I'm surprised she didn't come to me and tell me any of this", Carina "she wanted to stay and work through the pain", Miranda "yeah not on my watch, tell her to take all the time off she needs", Maya "okay", Maya headed to the daycare to get their six year old, Violet "Maya", Maya "hey. Ready to go home", Violet "yeah", the two met Carina in front, and headed home. Vic "isn't that the girl from that foster fire", Andy "Maya said she didn't wanna tell anyone what was going on just yet", Vic "okay", Maya "home sweet home", she said as they got inside. Carina "I am going to make dinner, why don't you show little one her room", Maya "okay", she held her hand out, escorting her to her room. Maya "if you don't like it we can totally change it. We didn't know what you would like so we tried a couple of different things. We hope it's alright", Violet "it's perfect, I love it so much".

Maya "you could just settle in I'll be with Carina in the kitchen", Violet "okay", Maya "smells good in there", Carina "thanks love", Maya "that's a lot of food. Are you sure she'll eat all of it", Carina "I mean whatever she don't eat we can just put it away in the fridge", Maya "okay. Did you receive any call yet from the clinic", Carina "the gynecologist over the phone says that 15 eggs made it", Maya "that's great", Carina "yeah I'm really excited about that, should one of us get her for dinner", Maya "just call her. Violet sweetie dinner is ready", Violet "did you make this", Carina "yeah, I love to cook and bake", Maya "she makes the best French toast, the best", Violet "that's actually my favorite", the three of them had dinner, and laughed at the jokes they told one another. Carina washed the dishes, while Maya and Violet waited for her on the couch. Carina "okay. What are we doing? Movie, game", Violet "can we watch Luca, it's my favorite Disney movie", Carina "yeah", Maya put the movie on, Violet laid in between the both of them as they watched the movie. By the time the movie was over, Violet was fast asleep on Maya's chest, Carina "do you want me to take her to her room and put her down for bed", Maya "sure", Carina lifted the girl up and carried her to her room, Carina opened the blanket and laid her on top then covered her with her quilt. Carina closed the curtains, and shut the light off, she gently kissed the girl's head and left the room. Closing the door behind her, Maya "how did it go", Carina "why is she so freaking cute", Maya "lol tell me about it", Carina "are you going to work tomorrow", Maya "yeah. I've got training to do tomorrow. Teaching a bunch of recruits", Carina "what should I do with her tomorrow", Maya "just spend time with her and get to know her. She doesn't have much clothes, you could take her shopping. Oh yeah and I still didn't hear back from the school I applied for her", Carina "I'm sure you'll hear back from them soon", Maya "I hope so", Carina turned off the light and cuddled up with Maya, the two of them fell asleep. Morning. Carina was already up, Maya was getting ready to leave for work, Maya "you're up early", Carina "wanted to make you breakfast, and breakfast for me and our little one", Maya "I have no time", Carina "you're breakfast is in here and here's y smoothie", Maya "thanks, you're the best", Carina "I'll see if we'll stop by for lunch", Maya "okay", Maya and Carina kissed, Maya "I love you", Carina "I love you too", Maya left for work, Carina continued to cook breakfast for her and Violet. Violet stumbled out of bed and to the kitchen rubbing her eyes, she yawned and dazzled at Carina, Carina "good morning my bambina", Violet "what's that", Carina "the word", Violet "yeah", Carina lifted her and sat her on the counter, Carina "it means my baby in Italian", Violet "your from Italy", Carina "yeah", Carina "so let's have breakfast and then I'm gonna take you shopping", Violet "why are we going shopping", Carina "we'll don't you want some new clothes", Violet "no one's ever bought me anything before", Carina "are you okay with that", Violet "yeah", after breakfast, the quickly showered and got ready. Carina "after we're done shopping do you want to stop by the fire station to have lunch with Maya", Violet "yeah". 1 hour later, they left the house to the shopping center. Carina "let's go to the fitting room to try these on", Violet "can you come in with me", Carina "yeah", she placed the basket of clothes beside her and sat on the bench, Carina "arms up", Violet "this one is too big", Carina "baby you can grow into it", Violet "can I try my dresses on", Carina "sure, those are really pretty on you. Do you want all of them", Violet "can I get all of them", Carina "of course you can baby. Let's go look for a sweater or two for you. An a nice coat", Violet "what about this one", Carina "do you like it. Well only get it if you like it", Violet "it's really cute. I like it", Carina "okay. Do you see any sweaters you like", Violet nodded, Carina "come let's look together. What about this light pink one", Violet "yeah", after leaving the clothing store, Carina "let's go get you some shoes. About four pairs", Violet "what kind of shoes", Carina "since it's gonna be cold soon, let's get you some boots, and some sneakers. Okay, pick out two pairs of boots and three sneakers", Violet "whatever I want", Carina "yeah whatever you want", Violet ran straight to the section that had the Vans. Carina "do you want those", Violet "I want these two", Carina "okay one more sneaker and then go pick out your boots", Violet "those, up there", she said jumping, Carina "I got 'em bambina. Your boots, go choose them", Violet "okay", Violet settled on the Uggs with the bows on them and the black waterproof ankle boots, after leaving the store. They dropped everything off at home then picked up lunch and headed to the fire station. Violet "is this the station", Carina "yeah", Violet "it's really pretty", Carina "let's go upstairs. Maya should be in her office, they walked up the stairs to Maya's office, Maya "hey my girls", Carina "hi babe", they shared a kiss, then she closed the office door, they had lunch together. Maya "how was the shopping trip", Carina "ask bambina over here", Maya "did you find a lot of things", Violet "yeah. I got a lot of nice outfits and clothes. And I got five pairs of shoes", Maya "wow that's so cool. Do you like everything you got", Violet "yeah", the fire alarm started going off, Maya "don't get scared baby that's just the alarm. Off to work", she kissed Carina and then Violet on the forehead, Maya "I'll see you too later", Carina took Violet home. Violet"aren't you scared when she leaves. I'm scared", Carina "I get scared every time she leaves for work, she has a dangerous job, but she saves a lot of lives", Violet "she saved mine", Carina "yeah. I think I have something to do that will cheer you up. Do you wanna cook dinner with me"? Violet "yeah", Carina grabbed the stool and put it next to her, "sit on here. But be careful", Violet climbed on the stool, Violet "that cheese smells funny", she chuckled, Carina "it taste pretty good despite smelling funny. Open", Violet "is it gonna go on top of the lasagna", Carina "yeah. When it comes to the oven let me and Maya do that, we don't want you getting hurt", Violet "okay", Carina put a timer on her phone, while they waited for dinner to be done they watched Luca again. Violet fell asleep on Carina's lap just as Maya walked in from work. Maya "is she sleeping", Carina "yeah", Maya and Carina hugged, and kissed. Maya "dinner smells amazing, I do need a shower though", Carina "go shower babe. I've gotta do the drinks and start plating everything", Maya "okay. Thanks baby", Maya goes to shower, Violet "I don't feel so good", Carina "come here bambina", she felt her head, Carina "oh your burning up. I'm gonna make you a small bowl of food, if you don't want it you don't have to eat all of it. Maybe try and take a bite or two. Just go lay down", Violet "is Maya back yet", Carina "yeah when she's done in the shower I'll tell her to go to you", Violet went to her room and laid in bed. Carina brought her food to her, Carina "eat what you can, I'm gonna get you some medicine and cold water after", Violet "Nemo", Carina "you wanna watch that", she nodded. Carina put the movie on, Maya got out the shower dressed, and used the blow dryer to blow dry her hair. Maya "where's bubba", Carina "she's not feeling so good. I told her when you got out I would tell you. She's been asking for you", Maya went to her room. Maya "hey bubba, you aren't feeling well", Violet "I can't eat anymore", Maya "that's alright baby. Just try and get some sleep", she said kissing her. Carina "she barely touched her food", Maya "which means she really isn't feeling well", Maya and Carina had dinner and enjoyed a movie. Before bed, Maya gave Violet some medicine and left a water bottle with ice cold water on the nightstand, Maya and Carina went to bed after making sure their daughter was okay.
