Maya got home to a little surprise, her wife and Liam were outside waiting as she approached their house after getting out of her car. Carina "I missed you", Maya "I missed you too", after putting the baby down for bed, Maya and Carina stood in bed, glazing into each other's eyes. Maya "I'm afraid I'm gonna die on the job", Carina was stunned and didn't expect to hear words like that come out of her wife's mouth, Carina "I never knew you felt like that", Maya "actually after marrying you, the thought you dying and not being able to come home to you has really began to sink into my brain", Carina "but that's not gonna happen, you're an amazing firefighter", Maya "I think I wanna do something else or just stay home. I wouldn't mind being a stay at home mom", Carina "babe you don't have to give up your career", Maya "being a firefighter no longer matters to me. That was the old me, I love being your wife, I love coming home to you and our children. I don't wanna you to have to lose me to my dangerous job", Carina "okay. I mean if you wanna take a step back and resign that is totally up to you and if that is what you want then I stand by your decision. I love you", Maya "I love you too", the two of them finally fell asleep.
Maddy "mom we have to go, I have photos today", Carina "we're coming baby, go. Go, in the car", the got in the car and hurried to Maddy's soccer practice/photoshoot.
