Chapter 10 ~ clubbing ~

When Phon and Kao got back home they found Mrs Suppasak sitting in the kitchen with Richie who had slipped off his suit jacket and hung it over the back of his chair, his shirt sleeves were rolled up as he chopped vegetables.

"how's it going guys?" Phon asked as he walked inside with Kao beside him.

"told you they'd be back when it got close to dinner time Mrs Suppasak" Richie winked at the elderly lady.

"did you get everything you went for?" she asked.

"we did but I don't suppose we'll be doing much more until my hands get better" Kao said.

"Phon, what have you been doing to the poor kid?" Richie asked.

"fu ... your information he just overdid it" Phon caught himself before he cursed in front of Mrs S'

"it was my fault Mr Wachittisam, I didn't tell Phon that my hands were injured and allowed them to get worse" Kao defended Phon.

"are you going to stay for dinner Richie dear?" Mrs S' asked her new buddy.

"unfortunately not Mrs S' my mai will be waiting for me" Richie said.

"you must be very close to her?" she asked.

"I am yes, we've been through a lot together" he replied, he could talk more comfortably about his past now although he still kept certain things to himself.

"that's nice, she must be so proud of you" she said and Richie blushed.

"I hope so" he smiled.

When Richie had peeled and chopped the last of the veggies he stood up and washed his hands then rolled down his sleeves before putting his jacket back on.

"thank you for today Richie" Phon said.

"no problem bro, any messages for Chit?" Richie asked.

"just tell him I'll call soon" Phon replied.

"ok, I'm off, it's been a pleasure meeting you Mrs S' I hope we have the chance to chat again sometime" 

"alright dear and thank you for sitting with this old lady" she replied.

Richie turned to Phon and Kao before speaking,

"a pleasure meeting you cutie, don't let this ba ... guy bully you" Richie said as Phon glared at him.

"come on, I'll walk you out" Phon said before turning back to Kao

"I won't be long" he smiled.

Phon walked Richie out to his car and when they reached it he spoke,

"any problems?"

"nope, nothing but you've got a big problem if the boss finds out about that cutie back there" Richie said.

"there's nothing going on between us" Phon replied.

"yet" Richie said

"look, I appreciate your concern Richie but ..." Richie cut him off,

"bro' listen, it's none of my business where you stick it but it stands out like a sure thumb that you like each other and don't forget what happened to me because of JJ, I was this close to getting fired" he said holding his thumb and forefinger together.

"yeah, how come you got away with it?" Phon asked

"personal extenuating circumstances but it was touch and go"

"do you still see him now you don't guard him anymore?" Phon asked.

"we kinda lost touch, I was in a dark place back then but thanks to KJ , Kan and Kan's family I'm a whole different person now so" Richie shrugged.
