It has been four years since he ran out of Chillo. The small nimble boy is now 11. In the four years that he was alone, he made a small fort out of blankets. In the small fort there lays a small blanket on the floor that serves as a bed. Next to the bed stand a small bag of tools. In the bag there a fishing rod, food, water, wood, knife, and other things. Jayden has made himself at home in the blanket fort he made. He lives on the outskirts of Chillo. The town that is always winter. Jayden often sings various songs and tunes to keep his mind at ease. He was always thought no one could hear him. One day that all changed.

The small boy was sitting on the snow and singing to himself. Snow was heard crunching behind him. Jayden shot his head towards the sound.

"Hello?" He called, "Who's there?". He heard a twig snap in the distance. Jayden froze.

"Is it a Bear? Or is it a pack of coyotes?!" He thought. He raced into his blanket fort and sat in the middle terrifed. The small boy was shaking in fear.

"I heard some singin'? Did you hear that too?" He could hear a female voice say.

"Ye' I did to darlin'." A male voice answered.

Jayden then heard the voices get louder and the footsteps grow near. He curled up into a ball shivering. He lifted his head as someone tapped his shoulder.

"Hey lil' one. Are you alright?" The western woman asked. Jayden nodded.

"How long have you been in the forest? You look freezing!" The woman said worried. Jayden looked down and thought for a moment.

"F-four years." He shuddered. The woman's eyes grew large.

"Oh my! That's quite a long time for a little one to be out here. Where is your daddy?" The woman asked. Jayden looked down upset.

"H-he is never home. Always busy working on movies." Jayden mumbled. The Man raised his eyebrow.

"What about yo' mother? Where is she?" The man questioned. Tears started to swell in Jaydens eyes.

"T-they got her." He mumbled.

"Who darlin'?" The woman asked. Tears started to fall down Jayden face.
"T-the mean men." Jayden responded. The woman crouched infant of Jayden and put her hand on his shoulder.

"Why did they do that?" She asked.

"To kill us." Jayden cried. A wave of sympathy washed through the woman as she hugged Jayden. She was soon joined by the man.

"What is your name?" She asked.

"Jayden. My friends call me Jay though." He mumbled.

"Which do you prefer," she asked him.

"Jay." He responded. She nodded and they continued comforting him.

"My name is Edna. Edna Walker. This is my Husband. His name is Ed. Ed Walker." The woman explained.

"My name is Jayden. Jayden Lyn Gordon." Jay responded. The woman smiled and started hugging Jay again.
