It felt like a lot of weight has been lifted off of Erin's shoulders by finally talking to Kelly. Yeah, they didn't really get to talk long about it. There was still much more that needed to be said, but that would happen later. At least he knows, and seems to be on board. She was just still in shock on how easy it went. It seemed like it went way too easy. Was the other shoe going to fall and Kelly would change his mind? She just felt like it should have been a little harder to get to the point they are at right now.

Think positive, is what she kept telling herself as she returned to work to finish her shift. Now, with the shift coming to an end, the decision on whether or not to see if she could find a sitter for Aurora, or just go home and maybe later on in the week try and make arrangements to go to Molly's. It was kind of last minute and she couldn't ask the woman who took care of Aurora after school. She was already doing too much. She didn't want her to have to stay late watching Aurora. There was always Hank. He didn't always go out after shifts, and he did see Aurora as his granddaughter. He'd probably do it, but Erin had herself feeling like she was just being a burden by having him take care of her daughter just so she could actually show up at Molly's after all the nonstop invites she always turns down. Maybe it wouldn't hurt to ask though.

Erin headed to Hank's office, gently knocked on the door as he wrapped up a phone call. He motioned for her to come in. She shut the door behind her as walked in, not wanting anyone to hear what they were about to talk about. At least, for now. Once everyone knew about Aurora, she wouldn't be so secretive, but for now, she was going to continue to keep anyone from being too nosy.

"What's going on kiddo?" Hank asked once he was done on the phone and Erin took a seat across from his desk.

"So, I have this question to ask, and you can completely say hell no, and I will just carry on with my day, but," before Erin could finish, Hank interrupted.

"Spit it out Erin."

"Fine." Erin responded in a defeated tone. "I'm sorry for the ramble, I just feel weird asking you for this favor, but I was wondering if you would mind looking after Aurora tonight while I went out for a drink or two for once?"

A grin grew across Hank's face. This wasn't a side of Erin he had ever seen before, but he was quite enjoying it. Her rambling and afraid to ask him anything, especially concerning Aurora, made him think there was something causing her to be a little different today.

"You didn't even really have to ask Erin. I see you both as family and I would do anything for either one of you. I would just like to know what has you all out of whack today?" Hank said.

"Well, it's a long story. One I can tell you later. Let's just say that I finally talked to Aurora's father today." Erin confessed.

"You what?" Hank was shocked. He knew that Erin was wanting to do it ever since her return, but the fact she did it and hadn't talked to him about it was a bit shocking to him.

"I know I had told you that I would talk to you first before going and talking to him, but like I said, long story and I don't want to bore you with it right now." Erin said, not really wanting to get into it right now.

It didn't upset Voight that Erin didn't tell him. He was just a bit overprotective of her and Aurora and he didn't want either of them to get hurt. Yes, he wanted her to tell him the whole story right now, but he could see that she wasn't really wanting to get into right now and they weren't exactly in a place that she would feel comfortable talking about it. Anyone could come in to his office. She hasn't told any of the others yet, so, he didn't want her to worry about someone hearing something they shouldn't.
