(AN: Sorry it's a little short, I'm kinda bad at writing shorter stories, but I'll try to get some longer ones later on!)

It had been almost a month after Clementine and the other kids of Ericson's boarding school dealt with the Raiders that threatened their home and friends. Unfortunately during the later escape Clem's leg had gotten badly injured—then bit. Luckily, AJ acted fast enough and cut it off to save her, rushing back to the school with her in a wheelbarrow. Life was peaceful now and everyone got along. Aasim and Ruby were together while Louis and Clem also started dating officially. At this point Louis had practically adopted AJ, too...the two of them always laughing and cracking stupidly funny jokes. Clem needed to use crutches now in order to get around, but it was a quick adjustment for her...that's if she wasn't swaddled in Louis's arms being carried somewhere.

The sun had sunk below the horizon, and everyone was out in the courtyard around a fire. The reddish-orange flames danced and flickered, lapping the night air. Louis was sat beside Clem, her head resting on his shoulder. AJ was off playing a game with Willy nearby, and the other kids sat around.

"What about we play a game?" Louis piped up.

"We could," Clem smiled a little. "Have your cards?"

"I don't leave home without them," Louis chuckled and pulled out an old deck of playing cards.

"What's it gonna be tonight?" Violet asked, her vision in her left eye better than it was before after her unsuccessful attempt to stop the bomb on the boat.

"Hmmm..." Louis hummed in thought. "What about a game of Never have I ever?" He asked.

"That sounds good to me," Ruby said with a smile.

"Yeah," Clem agreed, trying to remember the last time she played it.

"Then let's do it," Omar chuckled.

"Alright. Whoever gets the highest card has to say something they've never done and the person with the lowest card has to say if they've done it or not," Louis explained.

Everyone wore a bright smile as Louis broke up the cards and passed out a mini deck to each participant. Each person took one and once everyone was ready, they flipped a card. Ruby got the highest and Clem got the lowest.

"Let's see..." Ruby trailed off in thought. "Never have I ever...uh...driven a car."

"Can you even drive?" Violet asked.

"A few things, like a tractor," Ruby replied.

"I know how to drive, so of course I've driven a car," Clem chuckled. "You guys did find AJ and I in a totaled car after all."

Violet made a realization, "Isn't someone supposed to keep track of, like, what people have or haven't done?"

"Yeahhh, but we don't have to," Louis smiled a little.

The game continued late into the night air, and after quite a few rounds—the admissions and confessions got a little wilder. It wasn't until the moon hung in the sky that they all decided to go in for the night—everyone's sides in pain and agony from laughing. Louis scooped Clem up into his arms and picked up her crutches for her, before she was carried off to the dorm she shared with AJ.

"I could've made it," Clem huffed as she cuddled close to Louis' chest. She didn't want to admit it, but she liked it when he carried her around.

"I know," Louis hummed as he gently laid her down on her bed, setting the crutches against the dresser. "But I like to carry you."

"I know, I know," Clem sat up a bit and rolled her eyes.

Louis leaned down and connected their lips, the warmth radiating from both. Louis gently cupped Clem's face with his hand, only pulling away when the door creaked open and they both needed air. AJ walked into the room with a smile, before he went over and gave the two a hug.

"Goodnight, you two," Louis said with a smile that stretched a mile wide.

"Good night, Lou," Clem said softly as she laid back, allowing her head to rest against the pillow.

"Goodnight!" AJ said with a yawn, climbing onto his own bed before he looked over at Clementine. "Goodnight, Clem."

"Goodnight, AJ," She replied, yawning softly herself.

Louis stood on the other side of the door—keeping it open a smidge as he listened to them talk. With a gentle shake of his head, he softly closed the door and walked down the hall. He loved those two so much it was difficult for him to express it in words, but it was all worth it.
