The ride back felt quick, and it was late in the evening when you all returned. You went to your room to shower and change, smiling and humming quietly to yourself as you did so. You cleaned yourself up good, especially in between your legs, scrubbing yourself in a soap with a warm vanilla and coconut scent, and rinsing your hair with shampoo that had a sort of perfume like fragrance. While the hot water was running down your back, you thought about your day. How all day you had been cooped up in that dusty building with Ghost, multitasking...and then you thought about how that sadistic asshole had made you get onto the walkie and talk to Price...how you accidentally moaned out into it while talking to your Captain of all people. You cringed, feeling ashamed that you had felt excited that he had heard you like that and that he has praised you with that deep exciting voice of his. You sighed, feeling stupid for having thoughts about your Captain like that. He was a professional man who wouldn't ever feel the same way, so it was no use getting excited over anything. After drying off and fixing your hair, you exited the bathroom with a towel loosely tied around your body. You noticed a light blinking on the corded phone in your room, which meant that there's a voice mail that was left. You pushed the button and walked over to your dresser, dropping your towel and selecting comfortable clothes.

*BEEP* "Good evening, L/N, when you have a minute, I'd like to see you in my office for a quick chat."

You froze and slowly turned towards the phone. It was Captain Price's voice. "Shit, am I in trouble? Is this because of today? I'm gonna kill Ghost when I see him..." You panicked, throwing off your lounging clothes and finding presentable clothes to go see your boss. You ran to the bathroom and freshened yourself up and did your hair, making sure to look like a good trustworthy employee.

You headed towards Price's office on the far side of the building, nervously fiddling with your fingers. The halls were pretty quiet since it was late, and the sound of your heart beat was echoing in your head. You reached the office, knocking hesitantly. "Enter," Price's voice was quiet yet stern, a voice you hated to admit that you loved.

You slowly opened the door, putting on your poker face and hiding the anxiety that made your hands tremble. "You summoned me, sir, anything I can do for you?" You said plainly, standing at attention.

Price looked up and smiled, putting out his cigar in the ash tray on his desk. "Have a seat, L/N." He said, gesturing to the chair across from his desk, then returning to examining the pile of documents he had in front of him.

"Yes, sir", you nervously sat down and crossed your legs. You said nothing, only looking at your Captain's face and waiting for whatever kind of discipline you were about to receive.

"You did well on our mission today," he started, trying to make small talk and lighten the suffocating atmosphere. "You're damn good with that sniper." He looked you in the eyes when he said the last part, making you squirm a little.

"Thank you sir." You said, not sure what you should say.

"You know, I've been thinking," he said, a tone of mischief in his voice as he put the papers in an even pile and leaned back in his chair, crossing his arms. "Every time I send you on a mission with Lieutenant Riley,"

Fuck. Shit. I'm so getting fired right now. Ghost told me it would be fine, why did I listen to that horny snake.

"You two always seem so distracted, but you get the job done so I never bring it up." He paused, tapping his finger on the desk a few times before looking up at you, "Do you two get along alright?"
