The day of the twins' birthday finally came. Everyone was tense about the surprise party. Twins were in their room, and out in the hall, everyone was discussing the plan to get them out of the house.
Vaishnavi, being an early-to-bed and early-to-rise girl, was still sleeping without any worry about the outside world. Her braided hair lay on the pillow as she slept with her hands on either side.
Rohan, on the other hand, was a late-to-bed and early-to-rise boy. He was getting ready for the meeting with his friends.
As opposite as they can be. One loves sleep, and the other does not care if he gets any.
Both didn't care about their birthday. It was just another day of the year for them, just that they aged a year older. It was doubtful for Vaishnavi to sleep till late.
The mansion was unlikely quiet. A person could hear their heartbeat standing there. Rohan stepped into the dining hall, but it was empty. No one was home, strangely.

Vaishnavi's eyes shot open as an unbearable pain started on the back of her hand. The mark on her hand began to burn. The Golden line formed in the black figure as it slowly moved.
The mark's shape changed to a V. and then slowly started to form a name. Vaishanvi's cry turned inaudible as she tightly held her wrist. Tears streamed down her eyes.
The mark inscribed the name 'Vivaan' before it vanished. Just after the mark disappeared, the door of the room opened. Rohan ran towards Vaishnavi after seeing her crying. He hugged her tightly.
Before going, he thought of wishing his twin a happy birthday. But seeing her like that added to his worries.
"What happened?" Rohan asked in a hushed voice as he cradled her in the hug, softly patting her head. He then noticed her hand tightly gripping her right wrist.
"I don't know. I... I don't remember." Vaishnavi said as she looked at her hand. She removed her grip, a deep red mark of her hand imprinted on her wrist.
She wiped her tears as she looked at Rohan. His expression told her how worried he was. Then she remembered his plan with his friends. She couldn't let him cancel that. After months, he was going out like that. There wasn't any way she would let him cancel that easily just because of a small thing.
"Hey! Happy eighteenth birthday, idiot." Vaishnavi wished as she hugged him again. "Weren't you going to meet your friends?" she asked as there was no reply from the other person.
"Happy birthday, silly." Rohan replied as he inhaled a deep breath before continuing, "I'll cancel the plan."
"No! You can't." Vaishnavi quickly protested as she withdrew herself from the hug. "You are going out like this after so many months. I can't let you ruin that. If you won't, then... I will also not leave this room or eat anything."
"Why would you do that?" Rohan questioned as he cupped her cheeks. "You want me to go out?" Rohan asked. Vaishnavi nodded before he could change anything in the sentence or say something else.
"Our tradition! Tell me a secret." Vaishnavi chirped to lighten the mood. On every birthday, the twins would tell each other a secret and promise each other not to spill the beans to anyone. This thing they started at five and should have stopped by ten, but they somehow made it their tradition.
For an instant, they sat quietly on the bed as Rohan pondered over something.
"I... Do we have to do this now?" Rohan asked, still unsure if to tell her or not.
"Of course. It's our tradition, after all. And don't you think it's better to share it with someone rather than to keep it to yourself?" Although Vaishnavi was right, Rohan was hesitant.
"Ok. So... I like Nia." Rohan announced as his cheeks turned a bit pink.
"Oooo! No wonder you are awkward around her." Vaishnavi teased as she looked at his flushed cheeks.
"You! Your turn." Rohan sighed. For Rohan, it would be even more awkward to face Nia.
"Umm, see, we are in the same situation, so you are not allowed to get grumpy or angry." Vaishnavi babbled as she knew what Rohan's reaction would be. No response.
"I like Tushar," Vaishnavi said as she looked at Rohan's face for any change. Unlike him, her cheeks didn't turn anything.
After silence for a minute, Rohan said, "No, you don't."
"What?" Vaishnavi gasped. She couldn't believe her brother. 'I accepted his likings towards my precious friend, and he is being like this?' Vaishnavi thought.
"You... I... Augh!" Vainshnavi couldn't find words to say as she pulled the blanket and lay beneath it—a behavior to show her unhappiness.
Rohan just sighed as he got up to get going. He could at least fulfill her wish for him to go with his friends.

Anaya and the other fairies with Shourya watched as Vaishnavi got her mate's name.
"Shouldn't we go to her? My baby is crying in pain." Anaya wailed as she watched Vaishnavi cry in pain. Shourya held her back as she was about to use her powers to teleport there.
"She is going to be alright. She is our strong daughter, right?" Shorya said to coax Anaya. Although he knew that the pain one felt at the time of the name coming was almost unbearable.
Anaya nodded as she stayed in her place, hugging Shourya. They all saw how she was getting loved by the people on Earth and what a lovely brother she had there.
But as they decided to stop watching the magic globe and leave for preparation, they all heard them telling each other a secret. Curious, Naina stopped and stayed with Anaya, Shourya, and Shoba.
But they were all shocked as Vaishnavi confessed her liking for a boy named Tushar. And how the brother on Earth correspondingly disapproved, but who can stop someone else's feelings?
But they probably didn't know that Vaishanvi's real brother was also hidden in the chamber. He was fuming in anger as all these years he had first waited to meet his parents and now his baby sister. He didn't understand what the issue was that she liked someone else.
He disliked how his mother continued to blame herself for what had occurred. He went from there and returned to the garden, where his mate was waiting for him. But he stopped walking, seeing her with her brother, Vivaan.
He went to a garden called 'Quiet Place' to find solace. He was unaware of what was about to happen on Earth and had to devise a plan to end things faster.

In the afternoon, Diksha got a phone call from Anushka, who was already in Jodhpur. Thinking that it was to wish the twins on their birthday, she gathered them. Rohan had come back. Vaishnavi also left her room. And the twins had already taken the blessings from their parents.
But as soon as she picked up the call, all they could hear was Anushka's sobs.
