London sure is a fabulous city, with such glamorous and fashionable people. Though half of their riches came from India originally, they put it in good for infrastructure and the environment. Jay, her specially assigned bodyguard, walked behind Vaishnavi with his hands full of branded shopping bags. Just a few more things, and she would revisit, maybe after a week. The store has so many options, perfectly how she liked it, you shouldn't run out of clothing options. But I still wish someone could buy these outfits for me instead of me; shopping sprees aren't my thing.
Vaishnavi looked around and finally decided, "That's enough for today. I'm tired." Jay took over the lead as he difficultly called the driver to pick them up from the market. As they stood on the sidewalk, Jay could only roll his eyes as he saw the rich girl yawning, even though she didn't do much other than walk and select outfits. In his view, Vaishnavi was just another spoiled bratty princess who only knew how to leech off her father's money and then her husband's.
Meanwhile, Vaishnavi observed her surroundings—how people were rushing from one place to another—and there she was, just in a pause from all that chaos. Her outfit told otherwise of her; it made her look like some TikTok girl coming to the location in her baggy monochrome clothes to shoot some videos. People judge others easily. She looked at how the weather was almost like it could rain now and here. The area around her was bustling with people swarming for different purposes, and she asked herself, How can people have time to be busy when they are walking? She hated it when people made themselves look busy while simply walking. Like, who are they trying to tell this? Others? They don't fuck about that.
Her face twisted as she thought such, and Jay got another reason to roll his eyes. They walked towards the main road as Jay spotted the SUV meant to pick them up. He put the bags in the trunk and seated himself in the passenger seat, as Andrew had already opened the door for Vaishnavi to settle in. Jay was that typical man who couldn't just digest that the girl in front of him wasn't just any random millionaire but the very own daughter of the King of Jodhpur, who had superior relations with their royals. He rolled his eyes again, took a long breath, and rested his head against the headrest. She convinced her father to give her that money to buy those outfits. Such a spoiled kid!
"Are you okay?" The same spoiled kid asked as she noticed for the umpteenth time that the man supposed to guard her seemed low and, supposedly, tired. "Oh. Yeah! I'm perfectly fine, milady." He answered as it took his control not to mock her by saying milady in a different tone. He controlled himself as he smiled forcibly to convince her, covering the fact he wasn't okay. Not by health but by her wealth, which he supposed came from her father.
Vaishnavi leaned back in her seat as her smartphone's screen awakened from a ping indicating a message was dropped in her chat. Her slow hand movement clearly showed her tiredness. She opened the chat, and the text came from her brother, filled with single-sentence texts asking a different question with each pressing of the send button. She pressed every message and replied diligently to the questions concerning her beloved brother. He would message her every day whenever he was free or taking a break, being mindful of the time difference and his sister's habits.
Reaching the building, Vaishnavi was dropped off at the entrance gates to her tower, while Jay's mouth hung open as he acknowledged where she resided. That filthy rich girl! "Man, she lives here?" Jay asked Andrew as it was his first day of work and he met them directly near the store. His thinking got even more absurd as he thought of impressing her to get some expensive gifts from her.
"Yes, in the penthouse. Her brother loves her," Andrew informed as he drove the car into the basement. Jay's head turned rather quickly, hearing the penthouse. "He gifted her the house and even sent over some cute gifts. I delivered them myself." Andrew delivered the information as he turned off the engine and took out the keys after Jay took the shopping bags from the trunk. "This car is included in the gifts." He said, while both the men headed towards the elevator to return the key and sign off for the day, as she didn't mention going anywhere else the whole day.
