The Three Of A Kind Cafe . 2

Ranboo-based chapter!

After the fight had stopped Ranboo started following Tommy, who swung open the cafe doors.
"Halo! Are you here?" There was some rummaging and a muted yes. "Nice! Is boss J here?" Now Bad had moved to the counter. His face is shadowed by his hood. He wears a black and red robe, a white apron covering the front, and black and red pants as well as gray shoes.

"No. Probably getting some alcohol, "

"Jack Daniels?"

"Most likely."

Ranboo stood awkwardly as the co-workers exchanged. 'Alcohol? Normalized? The boss isn't here? There could be other bosses?' thoughts played in his head.

Bad looked behind Tommy and noticed the 8'5 man, a half-enderman, with one green eye and one red eye. Half of his face is black (enderman) and the other is white/grey (Unknown), behind his younger co-worker, one who tried to rival his height (9'6). "Uhh. Who is that behind you?"

Tommy looked behind him. "Oh! This is Ranboo!" He pointed to the man. "His shop was destroyed in a hero-villain fight."

"Oh! E.M. Fruit, right?"

Ranboo nodded.

"That's horrible. Heros are such muffinheads sometimes! Not helping with place destruction? Horrible."

Ranboo smiled slightly at how 'Halo' agreed with Tommy and himself. "Thank you." He whispered.

"No problem! Can you tell us what you're comfortable with so we can ensure you're happy while you stay here?"

Ranboo was shocked at the niceness of the man. "Um, no water thrown on me? And no loud noises..."

Bad smiled. "No problem on the first part! The second part though..." he spared a glance at Tommy.

"I'M NOT THAT LOUD!" Tommy yelled.

"You just yelled." Bad deadpanned. Before Tommy could say anything else Bad looked back down at Ranboo. "Schlatt, the co-manager, is slightly loud but mostly drinking so you'll be good!" Ranboo heard him mutter something about a 'muffin-head' again.

Ranboo turned around. Nothing.
"Is something wrong?" Bad looked concerned at Ranboo.

Ranboo put his hands atop his ears. "Sorry... I just...hear something..." Ranboo's eyes closed tight. He couldn't hear anything but the pulling voice.

Ranboo didn't listen. The voice wisped away but only after saying,

"ANBOO!" "Ranboo!"
He heard two voices. He let out a confused noise. "What... happened...?"

"I don't particularly know..." was all Bad responded with.
"You started spitting shit about some egg! And you were speaking enderman or something! It was creepy!!" Tommy gave more insight into the recent event.

Ranboo was now confused. "Were my eyes purple? I don't usually speak ender unless my eyes are purple."

Tommy thought for a moment. "No! They were red! It was weird like you were fighting something off!"

Ranboo was even more confused now. "What? Red?"

Bad nodded, "I saw some red light on the ground while your head was down, not much else."

"That's... unusual. My eyes have to be purple for me to speak enderman... it's a hybrid thing. I haven't learned the language yet, but I'm currently deciphering my old writings... So how?"

Tommy popped in between the two tall ones conversing. "I think you need therapy for that shit. I know one, Puffy. Working at a bakery gives free therapy to traumatized people."

Ranboo nodded. He couldn't help but notice everything wrong with how Tommy looked and acted. Was the egg talking about taking Tommy? Maybe...
He didn't know. Maybe he could talk to Ares about it...

A/N:
FUN FACT! In Greek literature, Ares often represents the physical or violent and untamed aspect of war and is the personification of sheer brutality and bloodlust ("overwhelming, insatiable in battle, destructive, and man-slaughtering", as Burkert puts it). FUN FACT #2! Tommy knows enderman. It's how he understood that Ranboo was talking about the Egg!
