Alarms blared in the halls and six predacons and a brother who held his only family member in his arms, were fighting their way to the landing platform. Dodging gunfire and missiles, they killed off any decepticons that stood in their way. Coming to their last turn, the warlord of the Decepticons made his appearance. His bulk was blocking their exit. "I recommend you stop this and surrender," the warlord smirked.

"Go to the darkest pits, Megatron!" the one who held his brother snapped. Pounding footsteps echoed behind them.

"Last chaaaance," Megatron breathed out in a sing-song voice.

"Never!" one of the predacons bellowed, before he transformed into his dragon mode and blasted fire at the warlord. The other predacons followed suit, and before long the decepticon soldiers had been fried, smoke coming off their bodies. Running pass the unconscious warlord, they made it to the landing pad and jumped off. They transformed in midair, except the brother, who did not need to. All flew out into the fading, dusty sky. Flapping their wings hard; they flew as fast as they could, eventually landing on the top tower ruins.

"See any Seekers?" the royal blue predacon with white wrist and elbow spikes asked, after he transformed. His shoulder spikes were a dark gray. The gap in armor on his upper arms revealed the blue hues of a Chinese dragon tattoo on the left and flames on the right.

"No, we must've left them enough to clean up."

"Amberflame," predacons' leader called out. "We must now focus on removing their collars and Bumblebee's harness."

"Predaking," the brother who wasn't in slumber called without facing him. "It's going to be impossible to remove our collars and Bee's harness without a key."

"You mean this one I stole from Shockwave's lab?" Nightscreech volunteered, as he pulled out a key. His very light purple eyes sparkled with pride.

They stared at him for a moment, then the brother said, "That'll work, Nightscreech." The predacon walked over and unlocked the brothers' collars as well as Bumblebee's harness.

"We should move to another spot and leave those here. The trackers will lead them here and we'll be long gone," Predaking told them. They all agreed. Transforming and taking off once more, they headed into the belly of the beast.

"You all know we're in the Autobot's territory, right?" Nightscreech asked as they flew in as quietly as they could.

"Yes," they all said in unison.

"I'm pretty sure that they will see us as a threat," Nightscreech warned.

"We'll just have to show them we want to be on their side," the crimson predacon with yellow markings responded cockily. Rubies on his forehead and chest echoed the color of his eyes, with miniature white spikes scattered in rows on his body.

"Alright, Kaze," Nightscreech replied. Quiet fell over the group for a moment. "Do you think they'll ... actually let us ... join them?" Nightscreech's question echoed in their minds. Would the Autobots really let them be part of their army? Would they use Bumblebee, if they knew about the Power Infinity Shards energy that Shockwave had put into him? All nine?

"We'll just have to find them before they find us," the brother told him. As they glided through the air, flapping as quietly as they could, they were unaware of the watching eyes they passed.

"That's a weird looking predacon," a male autobot commented about the older brother who flapped his wings, as they caught a glimpse of someone in his arms.

"Who is he carrying?" the other male bot asked.

"Don't know," a female bot answered him. "But no doubt they're here to destroy another base."

"Arcee, why would they be looking to destroy another base if one of them is carrying someone?"

"Forget that! We must alert Optimus and everyone about this!" Radioing their leader, they were given clear instructions about what to do.

Only a few moments had passed when the charge in the brother's arms started to arouse. "Hiveblast?" Bumblebee as he yawned. "Where are we?"

"It's okay," Hiveblast cooed. "You're sa-AAAAH!" Sudden pain tore through Hiveblast's left wing. Spiraling out of control, he clutched his charge tightly against him. His weakened appendage tried in vain to keep him airborne. He started to plummet to the ground. The Predacons quickly swooped in and grabbed the pair to stop their full throttle descent.

Predaking spotted the Autobots on the ground and in some of the buildings. To evade their fire, Predaking shouted, "Split up!" Flapping hard, they dodged blasts and scattered in different directions. From different locations, Autobots ambushed them, trying to force them down with enemy fire or gravity nets thrown onto them.

Hiveblast, who was placed on a rooftop by Amberflame, managed to avoid all of these. Realizing his vulnerable position to the Decepticon Seekers, he began jumping from roof to roof, in between alleys, unable to fly due to his injured wing. Come on, think! Where can I hide? Hiveblast then spotted a hole in a building. He turned right, slipping through a half open door. Walking through the structure, he saw that no autobot was in it. He sighed with relief. Once in the room that had the hole, he commented aloud, "I should probably make a fire somewhere in this building to keep you warm." Hiveblast glanced down at his brother before continuing, "and wait out here in case one of our pals comes through this section."

"Wait..." Bumblebee's voice made Hiveblast stop and look back at him again. "Are we in the Autobot's territory?"

"Bee, have you been awake this whole time?" Hiveblast asked with a raised eyebrow.

"On and off," Bumblebee answered. "But are we in Autobot territory?"

Hiveblast sighed, "Yes, little brother." Walking back into the room, he set Bumblebee against the wall. After gathering everything he could find for kindling, he piled it close to the teen and breathed his fire onto it.

Bumblebee looked up and saw the tear in his brother's wing. "What happened to your wing?" he asked, face illuminated by the flames.

"Ah, this? This is just a minor injury," he joked. "Autobots shot their gun at my wing to bring us down." He got up, stretched tenderly, and winced as he favored it. When he turned, Bumblebee was right in front of him. He reached out to touch his wing. "What are you doing?" Hiveblast questioned. Without answering, Bumblebee enclosed his hands on either side of his brother's injured limb.

"Hold still," Bumblebee instructed.

"What?" Next thing Hiveblast knew, a soft, frost-blue light brightened Bumblebee's eyes and radiated from his hands. As Bumblebee removed his hands, Hiveblast realized his pain was gone, and looking over his shoulder could see no evidence of the tear. "How did you...?" Then it hit him. The Infinity Power Shards! They must've given him that ability and he must have more powers! By the Primes! He could end this war within only a few days!

"Yeah, I could," Bumblebee said, looking seriously at Hiveblast's startled look. "I can read minds and look into a cybertronian's memories, Hiveblast."

"What else can you do?" Hiveblast questioned curiously.

"What can I NOT do?" Bumblebee countered. Hiveblast looked at him in confusion. "Shockwave says that there might be no limit to my power. That I will have no limit. That I could recreate all of Cybertron to my will! Even the universe! And that's only naming a few."

"If you could do so, why didn't you break yourself free and get us all out?" Hiveblast asked.

Bumblebee walked back to the wall, "I tried to, but the collar and harness were designed to make it impossible." Sitting back against the rough surface, he continued, "And every time Shockwave put more Infinity Power Shard energy into me, I tried again. But no matter how much I had; it would always give me a knockout shock. It even had a system that prevented me from teleporting."

"Oh, Bee." Hiveblast's face became sad and the feeling of regret for not being there for his little bro washed over him. Moving next to his brother, he sat down and hugged Bumblebee with both his arms and wings. As they waited, they fell asleep.
