2 hours after gym session Masha and Kelvin just got to the studio so they could start rehearsing. Averie was at school, she was having trouble staying awake, she hasn't gotten much sleep due to suffering from bad nightmares of the trauma. She fell asleep during gym class which wasn't a bother to the teacher, Avery was in the teacher's office so no one would bother her and her teacher could keep a close eye on her. (Her nightmare, her father was asking her why the school had someone come to her job, he started brutally beating her with his belt, she cried continuously but that didn't stop him. He was drunk so him being angry about that while being drunk made it ten times worse. As Averie broke the liquor bottle, dropping it to the ground on purpose, he became more angry. He pushed her to the ground and beat her even more with the belt, her little squeals started to worry her teacher, gym ended, the students headed to lunch. Averie jumped frightened when the teacher woke her, "sweetie are you okay", she asked concerned. Averie shook her head, "I'm calling home", Averie sat there started to get worried but then realized she no longer lived in fear since she was safe with her new parents Masha and Kelvin, "hi is this Averie's guardian", Masha "yes, may I ask who's speaking", "this is her gym teacher", Masha "is everything okay", "I'm not sure. Averie here had a nightmare and woke up completely terrified. Is there any way you could come and pick her up", Masha "yeah", "okay. She'll be in the office", Masha "okay bye", Kelvin "is everything okay babe", Masha "not from the sound of it. Averie had another nightmare at school, I'm really started to get worried, these nightmares are becoming out of control", Kelvin "I'm coming with you, we can just bring her home. Rehearsals can always wait, she comes first", Masha "Alright. Let's go", the two of them left the studio and rushed to the school to pick up their daughter. Masha waited in the car while Kelvin went inside to get her. Averie "Where's Masha", Kelvin "she's in the car", they got to the car. Masha "rough day huh", Averie "I don't wanna talk about it", she said crying. Kelvin "let's just go home", they finally got back to Jersey. Averie went to her bean bag chair, Masha "I think she went to her chair. I wanna talk to her but I am not sure she wants to talk", Kelvin "I think we should just give her some space. I know you are worried about her and we have every right to be but I think she should have her own space right now", Masha "okay, what are we going to have for lunch", Kelvin "I was thinking sushi, does that sound good to you", Masha "yeah", the whole house became quiet, all they could hear was the sound of their daughter crying. Masha "You wanna just sit here while she cries like that, she sounds scared. We should be there with her not here listening to her cry", Kelvin "babe she has to let all of that out. She needs to let it out", Masha "I don't like hearing her cry like that. It scares me", she said tearing up. Kelvin "wanna work on finishing her room", Masha "no, not until I'm in a better mood", the two of them heard glass break, Masha "what was that", she said getting up from her chair, Kelvin "that sounded like glass to me", Averie "mommy daddy", she cried. Masha "oh honey. What happened here", Kelvin "babe there's a chunk of glass in her foot", Masha "honey stay there, don't move", Kelvin grabbed the broom and dustpan, sweeping the glass up. Averie "I can't step on my foot mommy, the glass is deep", Kelvin "emergency room, car now", he lifted their daughter, carrying her to the car. Kelvin drove them to the emergency room, Masha "her foot is really bad", Kelvin "we're here", Masha "I know". Once escorted to a hospital room, the nurse and doctor took a close look at Averie's deeply cut foot, "these cuts are quite deep, in this case she's going to need stitches", Masha "are we allowed to stay with her", "of course, but what is your daughter's pain tolerance, is she going to be able to handle being awake for the procedure or do you suggest we give her anesthesia to put her to sleep", Masha "anesthesia", once being injected with the medication she immediately fell asleep. Masha rested her head on Kelvin's shoulder, the both of them watching as the cuts got stitched. Kelvin "babe I gotta take this", Masha "okay", Kelvin left the room. Kelvin "hello", Miljan "hey, are you coming to work", Kelvin "I don't think so, me and Masha had to take Averie to the hospital because she cut open her foot and it required stitches", Miljan "that sucks, I'm only asking because you have a few students that are here, they have scheduled lessons with you", Kelvin "I actually almost forgot about that, I'm going to go to Masha and see if she could deal with her alone and I'll come in", Miljan "okay", Kelvin hung up the phone. Masha "who was that baby", Kelvin "I have to go into the studio, I have so many students waiting on me for their lessons, will you be okay with her alone at the house", Masha "yeah I'll be good", Kelvin "okay. I love you both", Masha "love you too baby", Kelvin left to work, once Averie was finished getting the stitches, the nurse wrapped her foot, and Masha took her home. Averie went to her room to rest, while Masha stood in the living room watching tv. Averie "mommy", Masha paused the tv and went to the room, Masha "what's wrong baby", Averie "can you stay with me"? Masha "did you have another nightmare again", Averie shook her head, Masha "mommy won't stay if you don't tell me the truth. Did you have another nightmare", Averie "yes mommy", Masha "was it about the man that abused you", Averie "yes mom", Masha hugged her daughter immediately after tears started to flow down her face, Masha "do you want to come to the living room with me? I'm watching vampire diaries", Averie "yes momma", they headed to the living room and continued watching the show. Masha "Hey baby", she said as she answered the phone, Kelvin "hey are you two okay", Masha "yeah, we were watching vampire diaries, but now I'm the only one watching it because princess fell asleep on me", Kelvin laughed, Masha "we'll what time will you be home? I miss you", Kelvin "I miss you too babe. I should be home around 8", Masha "okay. Babe we need a vacation or something. We've been competing nonstop and I think we could use a break", Kelvin "that sounds like a great idea and it'll be good for baby girl too", Masha "yeah".

@ kelvinong People never appreciate all the good in their life. My most precious memories I share with two of the most beautiful people in my heart. My beautiful amazing talented fiancé, and our daughter Averie. The two of us fell in love throughout the years we spent together being partners. When Averie came into our lives, Masha's best friend had returned to her hometown, and Masha wanted to resign from the studio, she wants a break and just wants to work with students on her time schedule which she does now and it's so much better for her. Never in a million years would I have imagined that I'd be engaged to the most gorgeous woman I've ever met, and that we would adopt one of her students, our missing puzzle piece was Averie, we're whole now. I'm so thankful for every single moment I get to spend with my beautiful girls. For all the men out there who love their partner take the time to compliment her, tell her how much she means to you, tell how she deserves the world. And tell her you love her. Masha here's to you baby, I love you so much, I couldn't have done this journey without you right by my side, you are the most hardworking woman I know, and I can't wait for the day that we say I do because I want to spend every day and every moment with you for the rest of our lives. Masha lifted Averie up and carried her to her room, Averie nearly woke up, Masha "baby girl are you feeling okay? You've gotten pretty hot", Averie "I don't feel good mommy", Masha "just give mommy a sec, I am gonna grab the thermometer", Masha went to the bathroom to quickly grab the thermometer, she sat on the bed next to her, putting the thermometer over her forehead, waiting until it beeped, Masha "you've got a fever baby. Just hang tight", Averie laid in bed while watching tv, Kelvin "babe I'm home", Masha "hey, did you get what I asked you", Kelvin "yeah, what happened tho", Masha "she's got a fever, I am gonna have to stay home from work tomorrow because her fever is over 100", Kelvin "I don't get it tho, how does she develop a high fever just in a few hours", Masha "I don't know baby. I'm over here thinking and asking myself the same question. But I actually think she may have fell asleep", Kelvin "maybe, I'm gonna make her some soup", Masha "did you enroll her for the upcoming dance competition", Masha "no because she's got that 4 day dance convention. Remember", Kelvin "oh yeah, but one of my students actually competes", Masha "then stay, I've got her my own. It'll be bonding time for me and her. I know you want nothing more than to be there with her and me but it's okay. She'll understand and you could FaceTime us", Kelvin "okay", Kelvin started making Averie her soup and he cooked dinner for him and Masha. Kelvin "baby dinner is done", Masha "I'll be right there. Daddy made you some soup, do you think you could eat some", Averie "I'm not hungry", she uttered, Masha "I know but mommy needs you to try", Averie "okay", after they had dinner. It was a rough hour or two of poor Averie puking before she had fallen asleep, Kelvin "is she finally asleep", Masha "yes and I am next", she said climbing into bed and wrapping herself with the blanket. Kelvin "love you", Masha "love you too", the both of them fell asleep.
