Footsteps can be heard clicking against the hard tile floor. Almost as if it's in slow motion.
Tap.. Tap.. Tap...
Suddenly, the footsteps stop before the big French doors get pushed open, revealing an elegantly dressed Sunghoon. He walks into the room and sits at the long table with his brothers and his father.
Sunghoon sits at the table, next to his brother Heeseung. The brothers sit at the table patiently, awaiting their father's permission to eat. After a few seconds of waiting, their father rings the bell, and it is time for the brothers to eat. They eat in silence before one of the brother's, Jungwon, speaks.
"Where's mother?" He ask, noticing that the seat next to their father is empty.
"Somewhere. Now eat" their father, Hwang Seo-jun, says, dismissing the conversation. Jungwon's soulful eyes look at his father for a few seconds before nodding and diverting his attention back to his plate of food.
"Yes, father.." he says quietly, his voice sounding almost like a child's. His brother, Jay, who is next to Jungwon, looks between Jungwon and their father before letting out a sigh and getting up. Their father notices this and looks at him.
"Where are you going? Sit down!" Hwang Seo-jun says, his voice sounding almost like thunder. Jay doesn't respond and instead just leaves the dining room, leaving his plate full off of half eaten food.
The big French doors close with Jay's footsteps fading until his footsteps are no longer heard. He walks through the corridors of the castle, passing by the many portraits and paintings of their family, before finally making it to his room. He enters his room, closing the door behind him. He then goes over and lays on his bed, staring into nothingness, before closing his eyes, and entering a dream world.
Outside of Jay's room stands Jungwon. Jungwon hesitates, his hand hovering over Jay's doorknob before ultimately deciding to let him be. He slowly walks away and instead opts to leave to his room. He slowly walks through the corridors of the castle, passing by a large rectangle antique mirror with a gold frame, and going to his room. He closes the door to his room, and takes a deep breath, free from the suffocating room that is the dining room. He goes over and grab his TV remote, and sitting on his bed. He turns the TV on, and plays a random Kdrama. He stares at the TV, unblinking and unmoving, not paying attention to the Kdrama playing. He stares at the TV, almost in a trance like state, before being broken out of his trance by the sound of something hitting the floor. He turns to the source of the sound, and sees his trophy on the ground, in pieces. He gets up with a sigh, and goes over to the pieces. He kneels down, and slowly picks up the the pieces, and throws them away, being sure not to cut himself with the sharp edges of the pieces. He sits on his bed, and throws himself backwards onto his bed, his arms sprawled out. He let's out a sigh, and stares up at the ceiling, blankly.
Footsteps can be heard stopping in front of his room, before a voice with an Australian accent is heard.
"Jungwon, you okay?" The voice asks.
"Oh, uh.. yea, I'm fine, Jake.." Jungwon responds back, tiredly.
Sensing that Jungwon doesn't want to talk, he replies with a quiet "okay" before walking away. He turns around and goes outside to the horse barn, passing by the same antique mirror the Jungwon passed by. He goes out to the barn and sees the numerous horses they own. He goes over to a white horse instead and looks at her, with a small smile, his hand raising up to pet her.
"Long time no see, Layla, huh?" He says, with an airy chuckle. He takes Layla out of the barn and gets up onto the saddle. He then starts to ride the horse to the pond at the far back of the castle.
Jake rides past Ni-ki, and to the pond. Ni-ki looks on as Jake goes past him, before turning around and walking back into the castle, his arms crossed.
He walks in through the doors and goes through the corridors before making it to a big door. He opens it and walks in, going over to the blank canvas in the room. He picks up a palette and stares at the canvas, trying to think of what to paint. After a few seconds of thinking, he picks up some paint, pours them onto the palette, picks up a paint brush, and begins to paint his vision, the paint brush doing light strokes across the canvas. He continues to paint, almost as if he's in a trance like state, before a knock on the door breaks him out of thought. He looks at the door before saying, "come in.."
The handle of the door turns for a few seconds before it's opened, and in comes Heeseung.
"What're you painting now?" Heeseung asks, his voice soft. Ni-ki looks back at the canvas before looking back at Heeseung.
"..a picture of Jake riding his horse.." Ni-ki says, simply, before going back to painting.
"You gonna give it to him when you're done?" Heeseung asks, leaning against the frame of the door. Ni-ki glances at him for a split second before diverting his attention back to the canvas.
"Maybe.." Ni-ki replies, almost flatly. Heeseung stares at him for a few seconds before letting out a sigh.
"You should.." he says before turning and leaving the art room, being sure to close the door.
Heeseung walks through the halls before passing by Sunoo. He would've walked straight past him if it wasn't for Sunoo saying something.
"Wanna watch a movie?" Sunoo asks, now looking at Heeseung. Heeseung stops before turning towards him, his eyes holding a faint look of interest.
"...sure" he says back, after some quick thinking. Sunoo softly smiles, before they walk together to the movie room, passing by the same large antique mirror with the gold frame.
Now, we finally meet our protagonist... Y/n...
There, she stares at them through the mirror as they walk past it, not even sparing it a glance. She floats through the walls of the castles, observing and watching them with a blank expression. For the entire time they have lived here, they never once suspected that the castle was haunted... haunted by a vengeful spirit, hungry for revenge.
They call themselves Enhypen... Enha for short... dumb name if you ask me, really, but I digress. They've lived here their whole lives, all without knowing that they were being watched. Over the time they've lived here, I've gathered useful knowledge.. knowledge that I'm sure will be put to use...
Jungwon- he's considered the groups leader... he's so sweet.. so gullible... so easy to fool
Jake- he's from Australia... loves animals.. he's considered the black sheep of the family.. don't know why he was taken in by Seo-jun..
Jay‐ pretty sure he's American.. he enjoys cooking, shopping and for some reason, staring into nothingness... oh well.. he's the stubborn type, so he'll surely be a difficult task..
Sunoo- so sweet... he's actually quite sly and intelligent... very perceptive too, I'm sure he'll come in handy
Ni-ki- the boy's such an interesting concept to me.. actually all of them are.. but especially Ni-ki, Jay, and Jake.. all foreigners.. all adopted by Hwang Seo-jun...
Sunghoon- pretty sure he used to be a figure skater.. but he likes fishing, skiing... he's quite smart and perceptive actually..
Heeseung- he's the oldest... quite honest too... so many words can be used to describe him, but... none are good enough for him.. no words are good enough to describe any of them...
I observe them all, while formulating the perfect plan in my head... a plan to use them and get revenge...
