IM BACK HELLO HI SORRY
so some minor changes
I have no idea how my timeline works but I do remember the gist of the story so to speed things up I will be skipping ahead to about a year before UA, when Izuku starts preparing for the entrance exam. The slow burn discourages me to write which doesn't pair well with the lack of motivation I have. Nothing much will have changed except that he is now 14 and relatively closer with Aizawa.
anyways, sorry for the wait. please enjoy :)

Izuku sits crossed-legged on the couch, scrolling through his laptop perched on his legs. His eyes burn as he scans through all the websites and articles he can find.
high schools that accept quirkless students
Almost all the results come back negative, except for some obscure names and a few tuition centers. Whatever saves Aizawa the most time and money is the best option.
"What're you looking at, kid?" Aizawa sinks into the seat next to him, holding Hime in his arms. Izuku tilts the device so he can see the screen, and Aizawa nods. "Have you found any good schools?"
He shows him the website of his top pick, a local public school with mold-covered walls and a tacky motto. Aizawa reads through the description, which describes the school as 'a model institute of education' and 'a place where students can grow'. Izuku thinks that the one-star reviews and the angry comments with typos and poor grammar says more than their glorified spiel. He refrains from showing them to Aizawa; however, the man has already found them and started scrolling.
"Are you sure this is where you want to go?" He asks, skeptical. "It's not the best option out there."
"It's the best one I can find."
"Their motto is 'Be inclusive, not exclusive'. "
"I know."
"The reviews on this place are terrible. Malpractice, drug abuse, assault, negligence." Aizawa looks worried. "There are better schools for you, you know that?"
Izuku shakes his head. "I've searched everywhere, but all the nearby schools are just as bad, if not worse. This is the lesser of many evils."
Aizawa hums, then opens a new tab and types in a search of his own. "Then, what about this one?" He turns the laptop for Izuku to see.
"This is UA's website."
"Mhm."
"It's a hero school."
"I know. I teach there."
"I can't go to UA."
"Why not?" Aizawa asks. Izuku isn't sure what's going on here.
"It's for heroes. With quirks."
"I don't see mandatory quirk factor listed anywhere."
Izuku isn't sure if he's making some kind of joke. "What makes you think I can get in?"
Aizawa is closing all of his other tabs now. "Your intelligence, your satisfactory combat abilities and sharp reflexes, and your ability to analyze anything and everything about your surroudings and your opponent." He passes the laptop back to Izuku. "I think you'd thrive here."
Now Izuku is the skeptical one. "But I have no quirk," he says. "I'm practically useless in the real world." He doesn't mention the probably hefty tuition fee as Aizawa would silence him with a blank stare. Still, the price tag makes him nervous.
Aizawa raises an eyebrow. "Useless? What happened to the kid who casually judo-flipped thugs three times his size and regularly took down robbers and drug dealers?" He pets Hime who is trying to chew his shirt. "With regular study sessions and a training schedule, Nezu would froth at the mouth to get you to enrol. Hell, he would offer you a full scholarship, provided you passed a written and practical test and any challenge of his choice." Aizawa grunts when Hime bites his finger. "It's a pretty good option."
Well, I guess the fees are taken care of.
Izuku is baffled. He doesn't remember to speak until Aizawa has returned the laptop and is staring at him inquisitively. He knows his guardian could get him in if he wanted to. He knows that his chances would be higher with Aizawa vouching for him. But still...
"Can I think about it first?" He asks. Aizawa nods. "Take all the time you need, kid. Just remember that UA isn't out of reach."
Izuku shuts his laptop before the screen becomes too bright to bear.
--------------------------------------------------
He mulls over the topic for a while, bouncing the advantages and disadvantages back and forth in his head. On one hand, UA has always been his dream school and it would be a shame to waste this opportunity. On the other hand, he probably wouldn't last. He thinks maybe he should let the universe decide this for him. Coin flipping, dice tossing, anything to avoid making a decision. The results are inconclusive. Aizawa notices and ruffles his hair fondly every time. He can't delay it for much longer.
He rants about his problem to Hime, who is more interested in his hair than his issues. But she's a better listener than himself. He should probably be discussing this with Aizawa instead, but he doesn't want to disappoint him.
After an agonizing few days, he finally seeks out Aizawa for advice. They talk, well into the night, and bring up some concerning issues that Izuku would rather keep hidden, but Aizawa convinces him. After all, what's the worst that could happen? Even if he got expelled for being incompetent, he could just go to his second (first) option (though Aizawa would never let him, being the kind person he is).
Izuku is optimistic, excited even. Something he'd always dreamed about was happening.
--------------------------------------------------
Izuku spends the next six months studying and training. His academics are simple enough that he breezes through them with ease. His training regime is more challenging, created by Aizawa to increase his flexibility and stamina. As he needs to practice his combat skills, he spars with Aizawa every day. Unexpectedly, Izuku finds it rather enjoyable. He can incapacitate Aizawa five out of ten times, and the proud smile he gets from his mentor is more than enough motivation to keep going.
Before he knows it, the exam is the next day and he's doing as much last minute preparation as he can. Aizawa tells him not to worry and to do his best, and Izuku smiles the best he can. He goes to bed anxious and wakes up the next morning, ready to tackle whatever horrors lie in store for him.
Can you guys believe mha is over
