It was warm. So warm that it was comforting for the little body that had to endure the cold for so many months. But something was wrong. She was laying on something soft.... A bed!

The child sat up, almost regretting the action because it caused her a terrible headache but she needed to get away. Clearly it was impossible, the ringing in her ears began, as her breathing shallowed. A bad time for an anxiety attack. Nevertheless she remained still, willing her body to relax. She'll be better, just keeping calm and chase the negative thoughts away.

Unknowingly she had been willed to sleep by her exhaustion.

Alastors picked up his pace, he should have stayed and worked at home. But no, his boss wanted all hands on deck to renew their equipment.

Now that that was done he could finally go home and check on the girl.

"You seem to be in a hustle" The same smooth voice, and Alastors knew who it was.
Turning to face the man Alastor let out a smile.

"Azrael, my dear friend, fancy meeting you here!" Alastor mused, but his excitement was short lived, remembering what he was supposed to be doing.

"You've gone glum, did something happen?" Azrael didn't know why, but seeing the other man so blue was out of the ordinary. He preferred Alastor's blinding smile than the low faced slack off of a smile said man was sprouting.

"Nothing to be concerned off, that's for sure" Alastor replied before deciding he had spend much time idly chit chatting.

"For once I'm sorry, but I have important business to attend to, so for now farewell" Alastor didn't stay for Azrael to reply, no. The other man was too stunned to speak, and he was oh so looking forward to talk to the shorter too.

"Damn my luck" Azrael mumbled, deliberately going the other way.

A few minutes had passed and Alastor was at his door step, a little tired from speed walking, but it was manageable.

He went to unlock the door figuring his elder brother wasn't home yet. And he suspect right when he stepped foot in the living room. All the lights were off and the house was still clean.

Alastor tasked himself on making dinner, but before that he would check the child in the spare room.

He walked up the stairs going to the door, knocking on it once, then twice. But no answer came.

"Child?" Alastor asked, from what he thought was loud enough for the child in the room could hear. But still no answer.

Heaving a sigh he opened the door, carefully stepping inside.

He found the child on the bed still, but distress was evident from how the pillow and the blanket was thrown off her.

Azrael strolled the gates of heaven, being the angel of literal death meant no rest for him. Thankfully though, death happens fast enough for him to speed trough the process.

"What's got you in a bad mood mister?" An all too familiar voice asked of Azrael.

Azrael turned to the little seraphim in progress, letting a sigh fall from his mouth, "none of which you should be concerned off, Emily".

Emily looked at him with such concerned eyes that made Azrael feel guilty.

Not letting his guilt eat at him he went on his way, choosing to ignore the seraphim for his peace of mind. He was becoming sinful, thankfully his father hadn't noticed yet.
